Customer brought their Audi a1 in due to an airbag light on no horn or steering wheel controls, after a quick strip down was clear to see the issue was a torn clock spring ribbon cable, the cheapest new replacement I could find was over £300 and would take a week from suppliers to arrive, managed to repair the faulty unit with a bit of patience 😅 and perseverance we got there! Everything now working as it should and at a fraction of the cost.

Spicey stage2 M140i in for a pretty decent coolant leak, inlet manifold off to gain access as there really isn’t a lot of room in the bay of a 1 series with a 6pot monster under the bonnet, found a hairline crack in the block coolant manifold, new updated part on the way.

Not enough of boost leak to throw an engine light but we found the mystery oil spray that’s built up over time, obviously only occurring during boost so not an obvious leak. Fresh intercooler going in..
