Another DPF clean done and another happy customer.
We have trialled using a new product,in an effort to make DPF cleaning both faster and more economical.

So far this product,when used correctly has had a 100% success rate.

We avoid "forced regeneration" as that can cause problems over time. This product lowers the combustion temperature of the soot blocking your DPF. This allows the soot to be burned away under normal driving conditions.

Prices start from £130. Around half of what the average DPF clean would cost. If your DPF light it is on,contact us as soon as possible. The sooner we clean the DPF,the more chance it will be fixed in a single treatment.

Hello all,

It's shocking that so many people are not told anything about diesel particulate filters when buying a newer diesel car or van.

Many people do not know what a DPF is until they are told they need a new one along with a £1000 bill.

Most of these diesel particulate filters can be cleaned despite what main dealers would tell you.

This Ford Focus ST was in for an oil change over the weekend. The terrible dipstick design means it's difficult to read the engine oil level.
The oil in the tube smudges on the dipstick giving a false reading.

This car had just 3.2 litres of oil when it was supposed to have over 5 and unbelievably, didn't have an Oil low warning light.

Now she has a brand new oil and filter,service light reset and oil level filled to the correct level.

Check your oil level regularly and keep up to date with servicing. It's a small cost compared to the repairs you'll need if you skip it.

It's not always just a bulb change that's needed.

Upon inspection for the headlight not working,we found the electrical connector for the drivers headlight bulb to be burned/shorted and so brittle it fell apart upon removal using just my fingertips.

Plastic is used in all cars and after years of temperature change,this deteriorates the plastic parts until they eventually crack or fall apart.

We replaced the electrical connector and completed a permanent wiring repair,removing the corroded and burned section of the wires.

This cheap but effective repair meant that a complete headlight replacement was not needed.

When deciding the solution to problems with vehicles,I always consider the question "What would I do if it was my car?"

If you own a Mercedes sprinter/Volkswagen crafter van(2006 onwards),or seen them on the road,you've probably noticed some corrosion in the lower body pannels and doors.

This corrosion is caused by water ingress into the body through small holes all around the van used to secure the black plastic side trims. This issue,combined with the small drain holes in the pannels being blocked,causes the pannels to fill with water over time and slowly rot from the inside out!

We have drained over 4 litres of water from just one body pannel!

This is fixable/preventable and the earlier you protect your van from rust,the cheaper and easier it will be to protect or repair.

Services include but not limited to:

- Removing,cleaning and applying waterproof sealer to all of the plastic trims/clips.
- Modifying the drain holes for more effective draining.
- Removing interior rust and applying rust protection.
- Repair/patch holes in affected pannels.
- Complete replacement of pannels beyond repair.

Prices vary greatly depending on how much treatment is needed but start from just £200.

Camper conversions are getting more and more popular ever since the corona virus pandemic. It is a great way to bring new life and purpose to commercial vans.This is my personal current camper conversion project, a 2008 VW crafter named Big Bertha.

Many parts of converting campers can be daunting such as cutting holes in your van to fit windows or skylights,Equipping the van with a secondary battery,12 volt and 240 volt electrical system.

After an unfortunate collision with another vehicle,this customer wanted a cheap and easy repair. They were quoted nearly £2000 by a bodyshop.
