ππ Back to School Means Back to Safety! πΈ
As children return to school after the holidays, let's all do our part to keep journeys safe.
β
Park considerately and avoid stopping on zig-zag lines, blocking driveways, or obstructing visibility for children crossing the road.
β
Walk safely to school by using pavements, staying alert, and avoiding distractions such as mobile phones.
β
Cross the road safely by using designated crossing points where possible and remembering to Stop, Look, Listen, and Think.
β
Stay safe around school buses. Wait until the bus has moved away before crossing the road and never walk in front of or behind a bus where drivers may not be able to see you.
β
Drivers, take extra care during school run times. Slow down, stay alert for children who may step into the road unexpectedly, and be especially vigilant around school buses, pedestrian crossings, and busy school entrances.
A little extra care from all road users can make a big difference in keeping children safe this school term.
