❗ATTENTION ALL LEARNERS ❗

From 1 October ( This Thursday ), the process for how learner drivers can swap their driving test is changing ✅️

The change will remove the need for learners to coordinate their availability and will make the process smoother and less stressful🤞♻️

What's changing:

To request a swap, the first learner driver will still need to call DVSA.

The second learner will then need to call DVSA on the same working day to confirm they're happy with the swap.

The swap can only process the swap if both learners call DVSA on the same working day.

Previously, both learners needed to be available at the same time to make the swap.

Planning on having a few this weekend? 🍻🍷

If you’re drinking, don’t get behind the wheel. And remember, you could still be over the limit the morning after.

Give your body enough time to process the alcohol before driving. Being over the drink-drive limit could mean:
⚠️ a criminal record
⚠️ a driving ban
⚠️ an unlimited fine
⚠️ up to six months in prison

But the consequences can be far more serious than a fine or losing your licence.

Driving while impaired puts you, your passengers and everyone else on the road at risk.

If you’re drinking, leave the car at home.

Autumn's here and with it comes more rain. ☔

Before the next downpour catches you out, brush up on your wet weather driving skills.

Remember to:

✅ Keep well back from the vehicle in front.

✅ Ease off the accelerator and slow down gradually if the steering becomes unresponsive.

✅ Watch out for any spilt diesel.

✅ Take extra care around pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists and horse riders.
