โš ๏ธThe weather can change in an instant โ€” and your driving needs to change with it.

๐ŸŒฆ๏ธSudden rain? The Highway Code says you should double your stopping distance and slow down.

โ˜€๏ธBright sun can be just as dangerous, creating reflections and glare on road surfaces โ€” make sure your sunglasses and sun visor are within reach before you set off.

๐Ÿš—๐Ÿš™And if you're sitting in heavy traffic, keep a safe gap to the car in front. It's easy to creep forward without thinking, but that space could be what prevents a bump.

๐Ÿ‘A few small adjustments can make a big difference. Stay safe on the roads this summer!

Liam put the work in ,practiced in his own car with his folks and aced his test today ๐Ÿซก well done that man .
Letโ€™s hope the F1 on the weekend is a race worth watching ๐ŸŽ๏ธ๐Ÿ’จ๐Ÿ

๐Ÿด Horse Safety on Our Roads๐Ÿด
Every Driver Can Help Keep Riders Safe

Whether you're travelling on a country lane, a village road, or a busy route, it's important to remember that horses are powerful animals but can be easily startled by traffic, sudden movements, and loud noises. A frightened horse can react unpredictably, putting riders, carriage drivers, passengers, motorists, cyclists, and pedestrians at risk.

๐Ÿš— Regardless of the speed limit, when you see a horse and rider (or horse and carriage) using the road, please:

โœ… Slow down to 10mph and be prepared to stop if necessary.

โœ… Keep well back and in some instances, give the rider time to assess the situation and signal when it is safe to pass.

โœ… Never rev your engine, sound your horn, or accelerate suddenly. Unexpected noise can cause a horse to panic.

โœ… Pass slowly and leave at least a 2-meter gap, but only when it is safe and legal to do so.

โš ๏ธ Horses can be unpredictable when frightened. Even the calmest horse may react to something that seems insignificant to us, such as a passing vehicle, a barking dog, or a sudden noise.

๐Ÿ’ก A few moments of patience can prevent a serious incident. By slowing down and showing consideration, you can help ensure everyone gets home safely.

Please share this message and help raise awareness of safe driving around horses on our roads.

New drivers can lose their licence if they get 6 or more points in the first 2 years. That means having to rely on others to get where you want to go again.
Keep within the speed limits. Keep your licence. Keep your freedom.

๐Ÿš— Country roads can be unpredictable. Around the next bend there could be pedestrians, horse riders, cyclists, slow-moving farm vehicles, or even livestock in the road. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿšœ๐Ÿšด

Always reduce your speed when approaching a bend and make sure you can stop safely within the distance you can see to be clear.

Take care, slow down, and help keep everyone safe on our rural roads.
