Job Types: part time/Full-time, Permanent overtime is available.
Garage based in bury town centre looking for HGV mechanics and/or car mechanics.
Key Responsibilities
• To repair company vehicles in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current regulations
• Contributing to good housekeeping routines to meet Health & Safety requirements.
• Ensuring that all jobs are completed correctly, and deadlines are met.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed correctly.
• Utilise all Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as necessary.
• To get vehicles ready for MOTS
• Carry out PMI checks.
• Stripping, fitting and replacing components.
• Should be self-motivated with initiative.
• To work in a productive workshop on our own fleet of vehicles.
What we are looking for in you
• We consider candidates from all backgrounds who have experience working in the Automotive sector as a Vehicle Technician, Mechanic, HGV Mechanic, HGV Technician, Motor Mechanic, Motor Vehicle Technician, Car Mechanic, HGV Fitter, Auto Electrician, MOT Tester or Apprentice Vehicle Technician.
• As a minimum you will hold or working towards completion of your NVQ Level 2 or 3 equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
• Full UK Driving licence.
• If you can demonstrate good mechanical and electrical knowledge and an ability to ensure all work is carried out to a high standard.
Licence/Certification:
• Class 2 HGV licence (preferred)
• Full UK Car License with 6 points or less (required)
