🚗 Don’t leave your MOT until the last minute🔧

As the DVSA says, planning ahead can help you avoid the rush. You can have your MOT carried out up to a month (minus a day) before it expires and keep the same renewal date for next year.

Have you planned ahead for your MOT?

You can be fined up to £1,000 for driving a vehicle without a valid MOT.

If garages nearby are booked up, you could be unable to drive until you get one – so best to plan ahead.

🛞 Tyres are one of the common reasons a vehicle can fail its MOT.

Before your MOT, it’s worth taking a quick look at your tyres and checking for:

📏 At least 1.6mm of tread depth across the central ¾ of the tyre
✅ Correct tyre pressures
✂️ No cuts, bulges or exposed wires
🔍 No obvious signs of damage or excessive wear

If you spot a problem, don’t leave it until MOT day — getting it checked in advance could help avoid an unnecessary MOT failure.
