148k, not much history.
2 keys, 12 months mot. Black leather, cruise, Bluetooth, NAV and factory electric retractable towbar!
Just had following work by us;
Front shocks, rear brakes, a service, new radiator, couple tyres PLUS full Iwis timing chain kit, all gaskets and seals etc as well as oil & filter.
Drives perfectly and runs on thin air!
Driveline warranty - £3,000

We are used to seeing corroded and damaged motors on E89 roof pumps, due to water ingress in the boot. We stock refurbished motors for these and we probably replace 2 or 3 a week.

However, this is a new one on us. The aluminium body of the E89 pump contains several blanked off drillings. These are blanked using a combination of pins and ball bearings, nothing new there.

But they are made of steel and this is what happens when they rust.

This pump itself is now scrap, and a new one from BMW is just short of £2700 retail FOR THE PART ALONE!

Keep an eye out for water in the boot!

When it comes to your BMW N47/57, B37/47/57 engine and it's timing chains, accept nothing less than GENUINE IWIS compone...

When it comes to your BMW N47/57, B37/47/57 engine and it's timing chains, accept nothing less than GENUINE IWIS components, which are EXACTLY as supplied to BMW, just without the "main dealer tax"

Here at The Zed Shed, we don't use FAI, BGA or the likes on these engines, just like we ONLY use BMW OEM filters and BMW approved lubricants, because if a jobs worth doing....

Have seen MANY "inferior" chain kits fail in as little as 10k miles...

Do it once, do it properly...

Absolutely shocking work carried out by a "click mechanic" and customer charged £500..

In addition to a new injector, clamp, 4 bolts and of course drilling out and fitting thread inserts for the injector bolts - The "mechanic" had also over tightened ALL of the injector pipes, which added another £160 to the repair bill.

This was not an inexpensive repair, however the customer now has his beloved mini back and running perfectly..
