Need your car all day? ..No problem! We have courtesy cars available to help you get to work, or carry on with your day whilst we look after your car. Just remember to book your courtesy car at the same time, as they can get reserved quickly during our busiest periods.

Keep an eye out for common warning signs of a coolant leak:

⚠️ Engine running hotter than normal.
⚠️ Coolant warning light on the dashboard.
⚠️ Coolant level dropping regularly.
⚠️ Sweet smell from the engine.
⚠️ Puddles under your vehicle.

A small coolant leak can quickly become a much bigger (and more expensive) problem if left unchecked.

If something doesn't seem quite right, get it looked at sooner rather than later.

🚗 Reminder… Book Your MOT Early!

As we move towards September, we wanted to give you a quick heads-up.

Historically, this is one of the busiest times of the year for garages.
Why? Because September is when many new cars are registered, meaning lots of vehicles are also due their annual MOT and service around the same time.

We'd really appreciate it if you could book your MOT and service well in advance…..and if you need one of our courtesy cars to get to work or keep you on the move while your vehicle is with us, please let us know when you book. They can get reserved quickly during busy periods.🙂

Mia Pedley worked on this vehicle recently and brought this to our attention so thought it a good idea to share with you.😉

This is what can happen when a coolant leak is left unchecked.
The white, crusty residue you can see is dried coolant that has escaped under pressure and built up over time. Once coolant starts leaking, your engine can lose its ability to stay at the correct operating temperature, increasing the risk of overheating and potentially causing expensive engine damage.

Some of the warning signs to look out for include:
⚠️ Your engine temperature running hotter than normal
⚠️ A warning light on the dashboard
⚠️ Having to top up your coolant more often/coolant level is lo
⚠️ Liquid or puddles underneath your vehicle
⚠️ White or coloured residue around hoses or engine components

What’s the good news?
Catching a coolant leak early can often prevent a much more costly repair later on.

Is it Illegal to Use Your Phone While Driving?
The short answer is yes - if you're holding it.

In the UK, it's illegal to use a hand-held mobile phone or similar device while driving. That includes texting, making calls, taking photos, scrolling through playlists or social media, and even checking notifications.

You could receive 6 penalty points on your licence and a £200 fine, with more serious penalties possible in court.

📲Hands-free devices are permitted, but remember, f you're distracted and not in proper control of your vehicle, you could still be stopped and prosecuted.

👉Our top tip?

Before you set off:

✅ Put your phone on 'Do Not Disturb'.
✅ Set your sat nav and music BEFORE you start driving.
✅ If you need to make a call or send a message, pull over somewhere safe and switch off your engine first.

Your safety - and the safety of everyone else on the road is always worth more than checking your phone. Don’t ever get into bad habits.
