The passes are coming thick and fast….

A first time pass yesterday in Southampton thanks to Nathan who drove superbly - just 2 minors.

Nathan admitted to being very nervous on his first lesson - that’s normal, of course. So it’s been great to see him develop into a confident driver. He just had to believe in himself - all the ability and effort was always there.

Congratulations on your achievement, Nathan.

Congratulations to George who passed in Portsmouth yesterday with just two minor faults.

Always chirpy, chatty, and asking the right questions, George has been easy to teach.

All your hard work has paid off - congratulations to you.

What a first car you have too - an MX5. You’re very lucky! My first car was a C reg Vauxhall Nova! D’oh.

Well Tom, what a drive this morning in Lee on the Solent.

Only 1 minor fault - absolutely superb.

I’m so pleased that all your hard work came to fruition. I had a good feeling that you’d be able to breeze through it today.

You’ve made my job easy - after showing you things just once, you typically retained that knowledge and were able to learn very quickly. You’ve gone from a complete novice to passing your test in just under 4 months - outstanding.

Lastly, thank you so much for the very kind thank you card and the Old Mout C***r - I love that stuff and might consume too many of them this evening when the football is on 😁

Huge congratulations to Guy who passed first time in Lee on the Solent with just 1 minor fault at the weekend.

You’re allowed up to 15 minor faults on your test (which in my opinion is way too high) so the fact that Guy only got one is outstanding.

Guy has made my job easy because he was always so eager to learn - he asked questions to ensure he wasn’t lacking in any department and to ensure he was fully prepared for his test.

Very well done for your excellent achievement, Guy!

Good luck with your exam results - I’m sure you’ll do just as well with those!

Jamie is a dear old friend who I’ve known for a long time - not far short of 30 years really!

He’s also probably the only person I’ve ever taught to drive who absolutely did not want to be there. Even a reluctant passenger most of the time, Jamie did not want to do this and was well out of his comfort zone, hence he’s waited until his mid to late 40’s before plucking up the courage to do it.

“Let’s get this hell over with” was a comment on his first lesson, and he really meant it.

This makes his FIRST TIME pass an outstanding achievement.

I told you that you could do it, mate.

It’s your turn to drive yourself to our band practices and gigs now!

Huge congratulations to Jake who passed on Monday afternoon in Maybush, Southampton.

The driving test is something that no one really looks forward to - it’s a nerve racking experience.

By his own admission, nerves got the better of Jake at his first attempt and there’s absolutely no shame in that. It’s happened to the best of us.

Since his first attempt, Jake has worked very to ensure that he was in a much more confidence frame of mind to try it again and, to my delight, he smashed it on Monday - I knew he would if he keep his cool, relaxed and took his time.

Huge credit to you for doing so, Jake!

Woah - a first time pass with ZERO minor faults!

Huge congratulations to Fin for his outstanding achievement in Lee on the Solent this afternoon. A perfect drive with no mistakes whatsoever.

I don’t think I’ve ever heard an examiner give such huge praise before. He was stunned at Fin’s performance under the huge pressure of his first driving test and couldn’t compliment him enough.

All your hard work has paid off, Fin. I’m so pleased for you.

You made my job a breeze. Good luck with all your college work and enjoy your new freedom on the roads.

Remember, you’re still a new driver so…..STAY SAFE!!

First time pass!

Congratulations to Daniel for passing yesterday in Portsmouth with just 3 minor faults.

Daniel won’t mind me saying this but he was a little nervous to start with and driving didn’t come naturally to him - there’s absolutely no shame in that. The coordination required to drive comes more easily to some than others.

Therefore, he has really had to persevere with it and work very hard to get his skills to the required level. I’m so happy that all his hard work has paid off and he absolutely smashed it first time yesterday.

What an achievement from him.

Congratulations Eleanor!

On Thursday morning we had a very early start to jump on the ferry over to the Isle of Wight. A few cups of coffee and red bull later and she returned with her pass certificate after doing superbly to sail through (see what I did there!) her test with just 3 minor faults.

You’ve worked very hard and thoroughly deserved your pass, Eleanor. Thanks for being so easy to teach.
