🔧Another Ford EcoBlue Transit in the workshop with a burnt-out valve that unfortunately caused severe piston damage.🔧

This repair required a full engine strip down, replacement piston installation and a complete rebuild using all associated gaskets. While the engine was apart, every component was thoroughly cleaned using our new heated jet wash cabinet to ensure everything went back together in the best possible condition.

The job was finished off with a new wet belt kit and a full engine service, helping to keep this Transit running reliably for miles to come.

🔧 Major engine repair completed on this camper van by the team at Runway Car & Commercial 🔧

The vehicle came in with poor starting issues and cutting out. After diagnosis, we found low compression across multiple cylinders. Once the cylinder head was removed, the cause became clear… burnt out valves and damaged valve seats.

In this case, the most cost-effective solution was to fit a recon cylinder head which we already had in stock. 👌

The engine was then rebuilt using all associated gaskets, along with a wet belt replacement while everything was apart. All parts were also thoroughly cleaned using our new parts cleaner to ensure everything went back together properly. 🛠️

What’s even more surprising? This vehicle had covered only 30,000 miles.
