🔧 Fiat Panda – Alternator Replacement 🔧

Another job completed by Callum’s Mobile Mechanics 🚗💨

We attended this Fiat Panda after the customer was experiencing charging system issues. After carrying out checks and testing the charging system, we diagnosed a faulty alternator that was no longer charging the battery correctly.

We supplied and fitted a replacement alternator, then carried out further checks to make sure the charging system was operating as it should.

✅ New alternator fitted
✅ Battery and charging system checked
✅ Charging voltage tested
✅ Vehicle now charging at 14+ volts as it should

The vehicle is now charging correctly and back on the road with a healthy charging system. 👍

Citroën DS3 – Water Pump & Water Pump Pulley Replacement 🔧

Carried out a replacement of the water pump and water pump pulley due to the existing components requiring replacement. The cooling system was inspected during the repair, with the new water pump and pulley fitted correctly.

The cooling system was then checked to ensure there were no leaks and that the system was operating correctly, with the engine reaching the correct operating temperature.

Another job completed by Callum’s Mobile Mechanics, keeping the vehicle running reliably and preventing potential overheating issues.

🚗 BMW 3 Series – Crank Pulley Failure

Another BMW 3 Series in with a completely collapsed crank pulley.

We replaced the crank pulley and auxiliary belt, getting the vehicle back up and running safely. 🔧

Why do we always clean the wheel hub before fitting new brake discs?

It’s a small step that makes a big difference.

Over time, rust and corrosion build up on the hub fl**ge. If a new brake disc is fitted onto a dirty or rusty hub, it won’t sit perfectly flat. This can lead to:

The auxiliary belt tensioner pulley had collapsed, causing the auxiliary belt to come off. We replaced the auxiliary belt and tensioner, ensuring everything was fitted correctly and running smoothly again.
