🔧 Another 1.6 HDi back to full health! 🔧

We’ve seen a lot of these engines lately, all with the same issues — carboned-up EGR valves, intake manifolds and ports, causing poor performance and rough running.

This one had an electrical fault with the EGR valve, so we replaced it, walnut blasted the intake ports, and fitted a new intake manifold.

Now it idles perfectly and drives faultlessly 🚗💨

🚐 2009 Citroën Berlingo – Oil Leak Repair 🛠️

These 1.6 HDI 16V engines are known for a bit of oil weeping in our experience — and this one was no exception!

✅ Timing belt system stripped down
✅ Crankshaft oil seal replaced
✅ Cleaned down thoroughly
✅ New timing belt kit fitted
✅ Monitored for 24 hours — no more leaks!

🚐 2022 Vauxhall Movano – Only 61,000 miles!
Came to us as a non-runner – engine completely locked up, and the coolant expansion tank was bone dry 😬

Despite having a full dealer service history, this just goes to show that following the manufacturer’s 20,000-mile oil change intervals isn’t always enough!

We always recommend oil changes every 7,500–10,000 miles to keep your engine healthy and avoid costly repairs like this one.

Unfortunately, it’s out of warranty, so it’s new engine time 💸
A costly reminder to keep up with your servicing more regularly!

🚗 Major Engine Rebuild Completed! 🔧

Customer came to us with a no-start issue and a major oil leak. After inspection, we found the timing belt had stripped its teeth, bending 8 valves, destroying the turbo and blocking the DPF.

We’ve carried out a full rebuild — including:
✅ Rebuilt cylinder head
✅ Upgraded hybrid turbo
✅ New timing belt & water pump
✅ Full EGR clean and refit
✅ New oil pump & balance shaft assembly
✅ Fresh service

The car is now running smoothly and 500 miles into its 1000-mile run-in process 💪

🚗 Vauxhall Mokka 1.4 Turbo in the workshop this week!

Customer came in with coolant and oil leaks — we fitted a replacement oil filter housing, new coolant hose, and a remanufactured turbo.

All sorted and another happy customer leaving the garage! ✅💪

🚗 Oil Leak Fixed & Clutch Replaced! 🔧

Customer came in after noticing oil dripping on their drive. On inspection, we found the crankshaft seal between the engine and gearbox was leaking — causing oil to contaminate the clutch.

We’ve fitted a new seal and replaced the heavily contaminated clutch, and the car is now running perfectly again! 👌

🚗✨ Another happy customer!

We recently had a Ford Kuga brought to us that had supposedly been serviced just 3 months ago elsewhere. The customer kept experiencing the vehicle cutting out.

On inspection, we found the service hadn’t actually been carried out – the air filter was at least 2–3 years old and the fuel filter was completely blocked.

After giving the car a full proper service, it’s now running perfectly again ✅
