The first of May 2026 is a proud day in the long history of Providence Garage (H Camp & Son 1946) Ltd (PROTECH MOT & SERVICE CENTRE) as it marks EIGHTY YEARS 80 serving the people of Burnham and the surrounding area.

80 years since our grandad Harry Camp set up a small workshop at the end of an agricultural and former oyster processing building in Providence. His thought process was to have a small business running for when his son Dennis had completed his National Service, in the fullness of time Harry's daughters Barbara and Doreen played there part in the business initially based at the family home in Normandy Avenue. The idea worked out well, in his wildest dreams Harry wouldn't have imagined that 80 years later his grandsons (Doreen's sons) would still be running his company (albeit due to the growth of Burnham, at a different location).

1946-2026 gives us immense pride and the immediate future looks good to continue. Thank you so much to all of our loyal customer base (many still from the era of Dennis, not so much Harry) you are all part of this Burnham success story.
