Full-Time Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

Job description
Are you a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic with a passion for precision and excellence? We're on the lookout for a dedicated professional to join our prestigious, family run, RAC Approved garage based in the heart of Burnham-on-Crouch. About the Role As a Vehicle Technician, you’ll be at the forefront of diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of high-end vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that every vehicle leaves our garage meeting the highest standards of safety and performance. This role is perfect for someone who takes pride in their work and is always eager to stay updated and move forward within the automotive industry

About Us Family run business established since 1986. We are a reputable RAC Approved garage known for its exceptional customer service and unwavering commitment to quality. Located in Burnham-on-Crouch, we cater to a discerning clientele who expect nothing but the best. Our garage is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, and the team is made up of experienced professionals who share a passion for the automotive industry.

Working Hours

· Monday to Friday: 8:30 to 17.30

· One Saturday per month: (Every 1st Saturday) 8:30 to 15.00

Key Duties

· Perform routine maintenance and servicing to ensure vehicle longevity.

· Conducting diagnostics to identify issues.

· Carry out routine servicing, service & Mot repair work including replacement of brakes, suspension parts, clutches, and other critical components.

· Re-gas air-conditioning with general air-con repairs

· Hunter 4 wheel alignment geometry

· Fitting tyres to a high standard

· Liaise with Service and Office Managers on the day-to-day running’s of the workshop

· Stay updated with the latest automotive technologies and tools.

· Opportunities to complete further training to gain accredited qualifications - such as Air Conditioning (FGAS) Electric Vehicles & MOT Testing

· Ensure all work is completed to the highest standard and within the agreed timeframes.

Key Requirements

· Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician / Mechanic

· Diagnostic and problem-solving skills advantageous

· Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality.

· Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

· Must have own tools

· Qualified MOT Tester very advantageous with inviting salary increase

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £35,000.00-£38,500.00 per year

*** REVISED SATURDAY OPENING HOURS ***

To all our valued customers, both old and new, we would like to inform you that our opening hours on Saturdays are changing as of Saturday 1st July 2023.

We will no longer be opening every Saturday at 8.30am until 1pm, however, we will be opening on the first Saturday of every month at 8.30am until 4.30pm starting on Saturday July 1st. The reason being for this change is due to our suppliers of parts and tyres etc who are cutting back or changing their delivery times at weekends, this unfortunately leaves us unable to carry out certain work required on some vehicles should they require parts. Therefore by opening until 4.30pm on a Saturday once a month we will be able to carry out more services and repairs along with more MOT’s which we hope will be more beneficial to our customers.
