Pleasure to have Anya with us this year , she has gone from strength to strength , fantastic effort considering Snetterton test day was her first time in a race car .
🏁🏆 ANYA GARNER - Monoposto SUNBAC Nova 2025 NOVICE CHAMPION 🏎️💨
Congratulations to Anya, run by Team Fox Racing in the F3A class, on taking the top spot out of 11 registered novices.
We asked Anya about her season:
“I’ve always had a passion for pretty much anything that has an engine in it — cars, bikes, you name it. My dad fuelled that passion early on; some of my fondest memories are playing Gran Turismo on the PlayStation 2, watching Formula 1 and working on cars with him. I always thought actually racing was out of my reach… until I met someone who basically said, “Stop watching and start driving!” and gave me the push I needed to get on track.
“Every time I get on track, I learn something new — which is equal parts exciting and humbling. At first, it was super intimidating, but now I’m completely hooked. The community has been really supportive, happily sharing tips and laughing off my rookie mistakes with me. Honestly, I can’t say I have any standalone memorable moments — each race weekend has been new and challenging in its own way.
“I could write a novel on how remarkable the Dallara F308 is and how lucky I am to get to drive it.
On the technical side, it’s been a pretty steep learning curve, but one I’m really enjoying. I’m also really fortunate to be surrounded by the incredibly knowledgeable and passionate people of Team Fox Racing that are patient in explaining every detail; I’m like a sponge soaking it all up, and I honestly couldn’t ask for a better environment to learn.
“I’d like my driving to be what defines me in motorsport, rather than my gender. That said, being a woman in a male-heavy space does give me extra motivation to learn, do well, and to challenge the negative stereotypes.
“I’m hopeful that motorsport will always be part of my life, whether I’m racing, watching, or learning. I really want to keep progressing and see how far I can push myself. For anyone thinking about getting started, I’d say take the leap!
Well done Anya for taking the leap 👏
