Meet Kristina Kunicke

Kristina has just been awarded her CIPD Level 3 Foundation Qualification and Level 3 HR Support Apprenticeship, working as a Human Resources Administrator for Wipac Technology Ltd.

This qualification was funded by Wipac Technology Ltd, which involved regular workshop attendance and a 20% allocation of the working week dedicated to the apprenticeship framework.

Anrui are investing heavily into Wipac to improve systems and efficiency. Moving forward, Wipac will benefit from further developments in more state-of-the-art equipment and infrastructure. As part of this investment, there is a real focus on significantly increasing R&D, so that Wipac can offer its customers class leading technologies in lighting.

Meet Anrui Optoelectronics

Anrui was established in June 2010 and is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sanan Optoelectronics Co., Ltd. Anrui currently supply intelligent automotive lighting to the Chinese market – operating out of an area covering over 600,000 square metres. They have expertise in design and development, as well as a high focus on R&D. Meet Georgina Westrope

This qualification was funded by Wipac Ltd and goes some way to showing that we genuinely invest in people’s roles and futures!

Meet George.

George has just completed his first week as a Graduate Optical Engineer.
He was referred by our very own Harrison Ball after they met at the University of Portsmouth's Physics Conference.

So, what has George been up to on his first week?

I have been responsible for running optical simulations for one of our customers, analysing the lit appearance and testing new materials, for the directional indicators”.

Our famous Wipac 4x4 Off Road lights got their TV prime time spot on last Sunday’s Top Gear! Paddy chose a rare Matra Bagheera S, whereas Freddie opted for an Austin Estate - neither are particularly suited to an off-road journey across the dense Borneo jungle! It’s probably the first (and possibly the last) time the Wipac 4x4 lights will ever be fitted to an Austin Estate… or maybe not!!

It’s and another gem from December 1977. Wipac Ltd have long been at the forefront of lighting technology and the famous gave customers more warning of hazards - an extra 2.5 seconds! Although the lighting technology has dramatically changed since then, Wipac Ltd are still designing and manufacturing lights that give our customers a competitive advantage - both in style and performance.

Meet Chukwudi Okeke.

Chukwudi has been with Wipac since 2012 and is a CAE Engineer within our function of Design department. In this role, Chuk is responsible for predicting whether lamps and fixtures will meet customer vibration test specifications, by performing mechanical modelling and simulation, using advanced CAE technology.

So, what does Chuk love most about working with Wipac Ltd?
