When I first came to Scotland from Poland around 20 years ago, I honestly didn’t know what the future was going to look like.
I was starting again in a completely new country. I didn’t know many people, I was still learning the language and, like a lot of people who move abroad, I was just trying to find my feet.
I took whatever work I could get. I worked in kitchens, worked as a cleaner and did different jobs along the way.
But I always had a passion for cars.
Eventually, I got the opportunity to work at a local mechanics, where I started getting back into car detailing. I already had experience with it from Poland, and I quickly realised this was something I genuinely enjoyed.
After years of working for other people and building up my experience, around seven years ago I decided to take the risk and start my own business.
That’s how BSProSpray in Broxburn was born.
Since then, I’ve had the privilege of working on more than 1,500 cars.
Every car has been another customer, another story and another opportunity to prove what I can do.
My goal now is simple: I want to do another 1,500 cars and keep building BSProSpray into something I’m even more proud of.
One thing I’ve really come to appreciate after 20 years in Scotland is the people. I’ve met so many good people over the years, and I’ve always found the people of West Lothian to be incredibly friendly and welcoming.
Scotland has become home for me.
What started with me arriving from Poland, taking whatever jobs I could and trying to find my place, has turned into a business that I’m genuinely proud of.
And I haven’t forgotten where I started.
That’s why I still believe in offering high-quality work at fair prices, with detailing starting from around £300.
