RETURNING YOUR LEASED VEHICLE OR VEHICLES IN THE NEAR FUTURE ?
UNSURE OF WHAT YOU NEED TO DO, WE CAN HELP .
To help you with your vehicle return, we provide a specialist vehicle inspection service designed to highlight anything that needs addressing to avoid charges, and more importantly what you dont need to do and is within fair wear and tear guidelines.
Our pre lease return inspection will arm you with the knowledge you need to make informed decisions and avoid unexpected costs.
End Of Lease Inspection Service
The return of your vehicle at the end of it’s lease can be worrying as it is often reported that the BVRLA ‘fair wear and tear’ handbook is difficult to understand, resulting in unexpected charges.
CONTROL YOUR VEHICLE RETURN
By having your vehicle inspected by a lease return expert you will be provided with all the information you require to control the return of your
vehicle and not have the worry of unexpected charges.
FAIR WEAR AND TEAR
The report will highlight what is within BVRLA fair wear and tear guidelines, so you will know what is acceptable and what needs addressing to avoid charges.
DAMAGE SUPPORT
If any damages are identified from the inspection, we will be able to provide you with advice on effective repair solutions.
What we do
Our inspection service is effectively a ‘live’ BVRLA inspection report, conducted by one of our industry trained inspectors at a location of your choice.
The inspection should ideally take place 6-8 weeks before your vehicle is due to be returned so there is time to address anything highlighted on the inspection report supplied to you.
The inspection will give you the knowledge to control and address anything on the report before the vehicle is returned thus avoiding any unexpected charges.
When your lease period comes towards its conclusion you will normally get a call from the lease company explaining that the vehicle will be collected on a
specified day, where a collection agent will inspect the vehicle and take it away or you may be asked to take it to a return point usually a dealership to be assessed.
Most people get charge-backs for damage they didn't know they had, when they return their lease car. Don't risk an unexpected bill. Damage is classed as 'excessive wear and tear' and where there is excessive wear and tear, you will not be covered by the "Fair Wear and Tear" Clause. It’s vital to be aware that for most excessive wear and tear on a leased car, you are going to incur a cost. These costs include not just repair to the car, but will also include the lease companies costs.
Impartial, Independent Inspections and Advice
We offer an inspection to the BVRLA industry standard, and advice which should help you navigate the obstacles of returning a Lease Car or Personal Contract Purchase Vehicle (P*P).
We can advise you on the most cost effective and acceptable repairs and more importantly what does not to be repaired.
Three things you need to know...
Firstly:- You don't need to repair every scratch and dent - some damage is acceptable.
Secondly:- Be cautious of having substandard repair work, as you may end up having to pay twice.
Lastly:- Many drivers make the mistake of just focusing on the obvious repairs and miss those repairs otherwise found by the lease company.
For Example:
• Alloy wheel damage, when in fact the recharge on a damaged alloy is usually the same or less than the cost of a repair
• Returning a vehicle with missing or damaged items like a hole in the carpet, or having a substandard previous repair undertaken even if provided by an accredited Accident Repair Centre.
• Returning a vehicle without the second/additional key - This is quite often usually found on a partner's or colleague's key ring
