Wow and just wow! September 22nd and it’s 32c!
We have been so busy, most guests are off today and back on tomorrow to a full house.
If you haven’t already tried us , we are not to be missed, it’s affordable, it’s idyllic you won’t be disappointed. New kitchen/shop fitted this last few days, looking great.

And, just like that September is here! Wow what a year!
It’s starting to slow a little midweek, weekends are still very much busy, but, if you haven’t already stayed with us or you fancy staying again, there are still some weekends in October available! Plenty midweek in October .

Ssshhhhh… 🤫 all is quiet! We’re completely full tonight, so I think everyone has either headed off to the pub or snuggled up in bed! 😂

It’s so beautiful and peaceful here tonight. I absolutely love our old-fashioned lamps — they really do make the site feel magical. ✨ They give it such a gorgeous Narnia feel… just waiting for Mr Tumnus to appear! 🦌🌲🕯️

I think this has to be one of my favourite times of the evening at the site. ❤️

Mr Roberts caught a beautiful carp today, 10.3lbs, unfortunately due to the heatwave we suspended fishing for a few days, it just shows “good things come for those who wait!” Well done Ben ! This is awesome.

If anyone has any photos to share (fishing ) and doesn’t mind them being displayed on our fish shack shop wall, please feel free to share and I’ll print them off for the wall.

The Quiet Willow Pond

A mirror resting in the green,
beneath the open sky,
the pond holds every passing cloud
as softly as they fly.

The reeds lean gently at its edge,
the water barely moves,
while sunlight dances on the surface
through the whispering leaves.

A little ripple comes and goes,
then leaves the world serene;
the kind of quiet that can heal
the places left unseen.

No rush, no noise, no need to speak,
just stillness, deep and wide—
a peaceful little piece of earth
where restless thoughts can hide.

And standing there, I breathe again,
my worries drifting on,
grateful for the gentle peace
of this beautiful calm pond.
