Audi have teased the new Q9 SUV and it's turning the comfort dial up to 11.
The Q9 will be Audi’s largest SUV when it goes on sale later this summer, sitting ahead of the seven-seat Q7 and the sleek Q8.
There’s no word just yet on what will be powering the Q9, though it’s likely to be fuelled by a plug-in hybrid or traditional engine rather than being an EV.
Instead Audi is this week focusing on the Q9’s cabin - which is plush to say the least and is being described as a ‘mobile living space’.
There’s a twin-pronged approach here, as Audi is gunning for both large families and business clients.
For corporate types, the Q9 is the equivalent of a business class lounge on wheels. Execs will likely opt for the 6-seat version which gets two captain’s chairs in the second row complete with active ventilation in the centre panels of both the cushion and the backrest.
Families, on the other hand, will want the 7-seat Q9, where all three berths in the second row can be fitted with a child seat. The third-row seatbacks can be folded down individually via electric controls - handy for anyone who needs to quickly switch between seating and storage space.
One of the big selling points of the Audi Q9 are its electric doors that open and close at the push of a button. What’s more, ALL of the doors are electric and can be operated in a variety of ways, from the brake pedal to the seatbelt buckle.
In the front, you get ventilated and massaging seats while the list of posh upholstery choices includes fibre made from alpaca wool and Nappa leather. A panoramic sunroof is standard and can be made transparent or opaque, with nine different settings.
And that's all we know. The Audi Q9 is due to get its full reveal at the end of July 2026.
