Well that last post kicked up a bit of a discussion. Normally we get about 10 likes and a picture of a cats ar$e in reply, not comments in the hundreds. Well here's another one, and it may seem a bit like Honda bashing, but whereas with some marques you expect grief, normally you'd get plain sailing with a Japanese bike...
So you spend a fiver figure sum on your brand new CB1000 Hornet and now you've got some oily rag pulling the engine out and dependant on the state of your oil, either rebuilding it with new pistons or replacing the whole engine.
Would you be happy with that? Especially if your bike's only done low mileage. Luckily the owner of this one saw the potential grief before the recall letter came, and had part exchanged it for a Suzuki by the time the letter dropped through his letterbox.
We do hope that Honda have learnt from their mistakes.
