🚗 Mercedes in for Full Service & Interior Repair 🔧

This vehicle came in for a full service, where we carried out all routine maintenance using quality parts to keep it running smoothly and reliably ✅

Alongside the service, we also investigated an issue with the interior door handle.

🔍 After inspection, we found the handle had failed — however, a replacement part was no longer available.

👉 Instead of leaving the customer stuck or suggesting costly alternatives, we used our experience to repair the existing handle, restoring full function and saving both time and money.

When several warning lights appear together, many car owners believe their vehicle has suffered multiple mechanical failures at once. However, in most modern vehicles, this is often a single electrical issue or a communication error affecting several interconnected systems. 🔧
Here is a breakdown of why these specific lights often trigger together:
🛞 Electric Power Steering (EPS)
The steering wheel light indicates a potential issue with the power assist.
* Common Causes: Low battery voltage, a bad ground connection, or a faulty steering angle sensor. Because this system draws a lot of current, it is often the first to fail when the battery is weak.
⚡ EPC (Electronic Power Control)
This system monitors the electronic throttle and the throttle body actuator. When triggered, your car may enter "Limp Mode" (reduced power) to protect the engine from further damage. ⚠️
🚨 Check Engine Light (MIL)
This is the general warning from the ECU (Engine Control Unit) when it detects an anomaly. If it appears alongside the EPC light, the issue is likely related to:
* Engine sensors (MAF or MAP).
* Wiring harness faults.
* Incorrect reference voltage.
🛞 Traction Control System (ESP / TCS)
The stability and traction control systems rely heavily on data from the engine and the ABS. If the engine isn't running perfectly (EPC/Check Engine) or a wheel sensor is down, the traction control will deactivate automatically as a safety precaution. ⚙️
🛑 ABS System (Anti-lock Braking)
This light indicates the anti-lock braking feature is temporarily disabled.
* Common Culprits: A dirty or defective Wheel Speed Sensor, low system voltage, or communication "noise" between vehicle modules.

We are seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to join our team. Starting salary £32,000 but negotiable.
The ideal candidate will have minimum 3 years experience in a garage setting. If you are passionate about maintaining and repairing vehicles, we want to hear from you.
Duties:
- Perform routine maintenance on vehicles, including oil changes, tyre changes, brake inspections, clutches, cambelts, timing chains, wheel alignment and many others
- Diagnose and repair vehicle's using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals
- Work closely with the sales team to ensure customer satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Completion of an automotive repair and maintenance qualification either IMI or City and guilds Minimum level 2
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a service technician
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 25kg) and perform physical tasks for extended periods of time
- Knowledge of vehicles and repair techniques
- Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues

We wouldn’t usually recommend other businesses on our page but these steaks were so good we couldn’t not share with you all. Get yourselves down to Hogman Family Butchers for their marbled ribeyes before they are all gone. Easily the best steak we have ever eaten!!!
