Introducing Elijah! The next home on wheels to roll out of the Hand Carved Campers workshop.

Built from a 1991 Mercedes 709D we bought Elijah already part converted. We really liked the previous owners style & saw loads of potential.

We’ve done extensive work upgrading him into a 4 person camper which is very practical & off grid capable.

✅New gas system with 20L underslung tank

We’re really proud of the finished results. He had a busy first season last summer & is now out of storage ready for another summer of adventures.

Elijah is available for hire from Bristol for £130 a day with insurance included!

Introducing Shaka!! The first vehicle in the Hand Carved Campers series!

Shaka began life as a work-van for a bakery and begun his transformation into a home on wheels in September 2023.

After 2 years and a steep learning curve he was finally rfinished and ready to hit the road in spring of 2025. Despite how long it took I'm very proud of how he turned out.

He's now a fully off-grid rolling home with a full kitchen, bathroom, 2 double beds, full viltron electrics, 650w solar & 150l of fresh water on board. He also comes with a beautiful hand built wooden canoe from 1966.

The stained glass doors let in loads of beautiful light and his interior feels spacious even with the whole family inside. I love playing my records though the HiFi system and having space to cook up a feast.

Since hitting the road he has been to Morocco and back, all over Europe and the UK on 20+ rad trips during the summer of 25.

He's out of storage and has already been around Ireland this summer and has a busy schedule of adventures to come. He's available for hire from Bristol for £125 a night or slightly less for longer trips.
