A great days racing at a very windy Combe and the threat of rain in the afternoon. Qually went well with Olly putting the car on pole, again, with a quick check over of the car and time spent rescuing other people's grazebo's that made a brake for freedom. With dark clouds foreming and spitting in the air, the wet tyres are out and gamble is on, with 10 minutes to go our car and the rest grid going out on slick tyres , with rain holding off, thankfully, the race started with Olly beaten off the line by Tony Bennett, which was short lived as the start of the second lap Olly was in the leading and pulled out a lead and won by over 30 seconds to Tony. A nice win thanks to Olly ,Gerry, Bob, Geoff & Sam. Well done team. 👍

Oups my mistake, the driver of the MG was John Moon and not Cotton as I stated , Sorry🤔

Hi again, all ready for another May Day Madness meeting, which again sorry to say, will be closed to the public. Last month Olly had made pole in both races and he won the first race , but in race 2 he had again a comfortable lead until coming up to backmarker Mr Cotton's MG Migett, who was not looking in his mirrors or noticed the waved blue flags, moved into Olly's path, the quick action from Olly had to take to the grass to avoid an accident , then had to pit to clear the grass from the front of the car and ended up finishing 7th, great shame, a race we should have won. So thanks John Cotton, but you should have gone to Specsavers. We are all looking forward to tomorrow and fingers crossed, we can do it again.

Well here we are the last meeting of the season, very strange not being able to see our car race, but a little bit of light at end of the tunnel, some tickets have been sold for spectators to be at Quarry only , so we can put on a show for them and again on YouTube live from about 11ish, well done Kevin and the team at Combe for that. So we will see what Olly can do and hopefully a win or two ? ,who know's. Our race is first at 12-30 and race 2 is at about 3 pm depending on red flags etc. Good Luck to Olly and the team.

The August Bank Holiday Monday saw the Combe Countdown Meeting. With the misfire problem hopefully being found on the rolling road, we had high hopes of a great days racing, this again being a two race meeting .
Watching qually from the pit wall all was looking good until on lap 4 Olly once again came in with yet another misfire .
With the laptop out again and checking data , the race was on to find the fault. With fingers crossed and being 4th on the grid, we went out for the first race, but due to another problem on the parade lap Olly decided to come through the pits and joined the rear of the pack and then started picking off slower cars, until coming in again with an overheating turbo. Gerry, with help manage to setup a pipe arrangement to feed extra air to the turbo. In the second race it worked and Olly finish 4th overall and second in class , bit of silverware and some very hard earned points.
Smiles all round and we did this time Finish, Well done everyone and thanks to Ben for the pipe !!. Next time will be the last race of the season.

Our next meeting was the TCR UK Race meeting on the 14th July. This was the first time these new TCR touring cars had been seen at Combe on this sunny and very hot day. We were all looking forward to a good day, with us now sporting our new turbo and hoping for pole today, but all our hopes were a bit short lived with Olly coming in from Qually after only 5 laps with a misfire. After many hours of trying to find the problem and everyone chipping in with there idea's we had to give up and watch our race which Barry Squibb won.
Lets hope we find the problem before next time ?

The next meeting was the Combe Carnival Saturday 26th of May a dull start to the day, but due to brighten up later. With qually out the way and second on the grid all looked good for the first of two race meeting, the normal rolling start saw Dave Krayem's Chyrsler .....I remember when it was named a Dodge, Viper take the lead from start to finish, but all the time with Olly large in his mirrors and at one time along side, but the power machine won in the end, but he did have an extra 6,000 cc more than us, so well done Olly for a very good second place, The second race we thought, was going the same way as the first until our turbo let go on lap five, covering the track in thick smoke and frightened poor Steve Putt to death as he did'nt know where Olly was or the track ( remember days of thunder film ) .A Slightly disappointing day, but we knew the car had power to keep up.

The May Bank holiday at Combe was our next race meeting and for once no rain, but it was very sunny and hot, yes sun factor 50 was the order of the day. We were looking for a easy race, but we did not bargain on our friend Nigel Mustill, spoiling our party by bring along his Volvo S60 ex Austrian touring car and being driven by Craig Dolby, it was quick, doing a 1.04 in qually, never mind we were second fastest.
There was the lunchtime grid walk, so we were able to let the public see the car up close. The race started with Volvo doing what everyone thought it was going to do and dominated the race from the start and finishing 15 seconds in front of Olly, with Andy Southcott close on our heels. The day finished, not as we planned, but hey, that's motor racing, but we finished with some more points and another piece to dust on the Bull's mantle piece.
