A long overdue post to say thankyou to all of my customers old and new across 2025 it’s been a busy year!

A workshop move and extension of the existing building has kept me busy along with many upgrades to the infrastructure and process, looking forward to utilising the new space heading into 2026!

These Classic mini gearbox casings weren’t in bad nick but the clutch housing we did a few weeks back now makes the rest of the box look out of place, a stint in our blasting cabinet leaving them fresher than the day they left the factory and ready to be rebuilt.

Another Royal Enfield Cylinder head saved from the scrap bin with a lovely weld repair from . Barrel shot blasted and finished in satin black VHT, head was resurfaced and vapour blasted along with the piston, a light polish for the covers sees this lot going home in pretty good order for 60 years old!

Honda VFR 400 NC30 engine, carbs, swing arm and assorted parts in over the last few weeks. Customer was unsure of exactly what he was looking for and the engine wasn’t in bad nick for its age but wanted to add that bit extra to his restoration.

Blasting the engine complete was mentioned but after explaining although many have some success with blasting complete engines it is not something we would recommend unless followed by a rebuild. High pressure slurry designed to remove paint and corrosion versus 25+ year old gaskets and O rings is too much of a gamble for us!

Instead we prepped, primed and colour matched the original paint for the crank casing and heads finished with 2k high gloss lacquer. All the covers and accessories vapour blasted along with the other assortment of aluminium parts. All of the steel parts shot blasted primed and painted satin black, gaskets and oil filter replaced.

A good bit of elbow grease went into this lot but the results speak for themselves! 😎

These classic VW Camper crank casings have seen better days but useable pairs are getting tricky to find, vapour honing has removed 50 years of thick grime and revealed the extent of the corrosion but good bearing surfaces means they will live to see another day.
