Come and cool down at the coast!

Here on the Yorkshire coast near Bridlington we are expecting the lovely warm sunny days up to 24°, but then the cooling sea breeze gives a night-time temperature of 14° for comfortable sleeping.
We have flat grass pitches, a shower & toilet and a short dog-walk through shade & trees directly from the site. Bridlington has miles of golden sandy beaches and lovely ice-cream parlours.

Catch the cooling sea breeze on the Yorkshire Coast near Bridlington - we've sadly had a cancellation and a pitch is free from today (Bank holiday Monday) through to mid June! We have flat grass pitches, a shower & toilet and a dog walk from site.

We lamb early here at East Leys due to the breed of sheep. We keep mostly Suffolks (like Shaun the sheep) with a black face and legs and white fleece, however the lambs are fully black when born.

I love the long warm Summer days, but always think that in Autumn the dog walk is at it's best - and if you look closely at the second photograph you'll spot Dexter, a long haired Weimaraner who came to live with us last month. He blends in with everything very easily!!

A difficult post to write, but we lost Stan earlier this week after he ate one stone too many. Such a happy boy and desperately missed.

Hey look! Mr Owl is back! We're also going to put a plate of cat food out tonight under the CCTV camera to try and get a better look at a stray cat that's hanging around. Will report back in the morning.

Not the greatest photograph, but just snapped this from the sofa after a lovely sunny Sunday. We (and you) often hear the tawny owls and their offspring, but there's usually a barn owl around somewhere too. It's on the end of garden wall at the side of the drive.

Well hopefully the wettest winter since the site opened around 45 years ago is now behind us. We are now fully open again and looking forward to a busy May - we popped down to the Spa Theatre last weekend to collect the most up-to-date leaflets from the Tourist Office and grabbed a quick coffee and cake. The Bridlington beaches are fantastic! This is the South Beach viewed from the cafe window.
