L – Look
A – Assess
D – Decide

It’s a simple process for making safe decisions while riding:

1. Look – identify what’s happening ahead and around you.
2. Assess – consider the hazards, risks and possible outcomes.
3. Decide – choose the safest appropriate course of action.
