So with my current front of house due to go away on her travels we are actively seeking A skilled Receptionist/office administrator is required to work as part of a team for an independent car and light commercial garage.

We have built up a reputation for being an honest and trustworthy garage delivering a high quality of workmanship and customer service.

Working Hours are 8.30am-5.00pm (with 1/2 hr lunch) Mon-Fri or part time hours available to be discussed, this would be offered as a job share. The candidate(s) must be fluent in English, both written and verbally. Rate of pay dependant on experience and qualifications. The candidate must have excellent time keeping skills & must be able to use a computer confidently.

Your job role will include:

Booking in MOTs, Services, and repairs from the telephone, e-mail and walk-in inquiries
Ensuring customers are aware of service and repair work required in a professional manner
Advise on estimated costs of repairs and work to be undertaken
Advise on timescales and collection arrangements
Create job cards on garage management system
Create invoices on garage management system
Update customer and vehicle records
Preparation and completion of invoices
Ordering parts and checking/coordinating deliveries/returns
Cash handling & end of day banking
Work closely in a team
Keeping the front of house areas clean and tidy
Multitask and prioritise jobs
The position does involve interaction with clients and colleagues on the workshop floor, so good communication skills are a must. The candidate should be confident and welcoming to our customers. Automotive experience is a bonus but not essential.
