Set of race wheels in for refurbishment after a little oopsie coming off track and into the kitty litter at Knockhill for Krypto Performance happens to the best of us 🙈

Wheels fully stripped, SSR logo hand brushed, coated in a black primer… lettering removed, coated in our matte lacquer to seal it all in.

Tyres refitted and balanced with black stealth weights 🤩

This set came into us having previously been powder coated elsewhere, and unfortunately they’d been given a pretty hard time.

The previous coating was far too thick, to the point where some of the original BMW lettering and numbers were barely visible. There was also plenty of dust and contamination trapped in the finish, along with corrosion underneath that needed properly dealt with.

The wheels were fully stripped back, with the remaining corrosion shot blasted out before applying a high-build powder primer to give us a clean, smooth foundation again.

From there they were finished in our Dark Anthracite, before being topped with a crystal-clear acrylic powder lacquer for that deep gloss finish and added protection. ✨

Tyres refitted, balanced with black weights and ready to go back on the car.

And of course, no set leaves WILBOWORX without passing the most important stage of quality control…

Scar inspection, safe to say he was happy with the end result 👀

Another set properly rescued and back looking how they should. 🙌🏼

Silver on top 🔝

Another set of Team Dynamics Pro Race LT wheels back out the door looking as good as new, if not better 🤪

These came in for a full refresh and a colour change to our Hyper Metallic Silver, but once the old coating was stripped away we uncovered a little more than just cosmetic damage…

One of the wheel faces had been buckled from a previous encounter with a kerb. Rather than simply coating over it, we heated the wheel, carefully pressed the buckle back into shape, then TIG welded aluminium to rebuild the damaged area before reshaping it back to its original profile.

Once the repairs were complete, the wheels went through our full refurbishment process:
✅ Fully stripped
✅ Buckle straightened
✅ Aluminium TIG repair & reshaping
✅ Grey powder primer
✅ Hyper Metallic Silver finish
✅ Durable acrylic powder lacquer
✅ Tyres refitted & wheels balanced ready to go

As always, every wheel is inspected throughout the process to ensure any hidden damage is dealt with properly before the coating goes on. There’s no point making a wheel look brand new if the underlying damage hasn’t been repaired.

Safe to say these completely transformed the look of the Hyundai i20N! 👌🏼

Right, this is easily the best guy out there, not only a great friend but someone that has always been there, I want to thank Wilbo for everything.

Wilbo Worx has sponsored me for a few years now and always been there whenever we needed something done, but this week he has went above and beyond to help us.

The gearbox went on the van last week and thanks to Wilbo (and Jack) we managed to pick up a box on Saturday. Wilbo, Craig and Rory helped my Dad to get the box changed out, including a new clutch and flywheel. Out and in, in just a couple of hours. Absolutely no need to help us out other than being an amazing friend. Although he’s got his own business to worry about, he still went above and beyond to help us regardless.

🛠️ Full Volkswagen Transporter Underbody Restoration 💛🖤

This one was a little different from our usual alloy wheel refurbishments…

The customer dropped off the complete front suspension, subframe, hubs, anti-roll bars, calipers, backing plates and brackets from their Volkswagen Transporter for a full restoration.

Every steel component was:
✔️ Acid stripped where required
✔️ Shot blasted back to clean bare metal to remove years of rust and corrosion
✔️ Coated in our zinc anti-corrosion powder primer
✔️ Finished in a durable satin black powder coat for long-term protection

As with all of our work, we don’t simply coat everything and hope for the best.

Every mating face, bearing bore, seal seat and threaded hole was kept completely free from powder coating. Between coats we allow the parts to cool before thoroughly vacuuming and cleaning every component, ensuring there is no powder build-up and that everything bolts back together exactly as Volkswagen intended. Even the original part numbers remain perfectly visible for future identification.

The brake calipers were fully stripped, blasted and prepared before being refinished in Porsche Racing Yellow, complete with Porsche decals sealed beneath a durable clear powder lacquer. Again, all piston bores, seal grooves and mounting faces were carefully protected throughout the process.

The end result is a factory-quality finish that not only looks the part, but is built to last and goes back together without the headaches often caused by coating critical surfaces.

A huge thank you to the customer for trusting us with such an extensive restoration. We can’t wait to see the finished Transporter back on the road! 🙌

🏍️ Two sets of motorcycle wheels brought back to life! 🤍✨

These two sets of motorcycle wheels came to us for a complete refurbishment, with the customer choosing a stunning OEM+ style pearlescent white finish.

Refurbishing motorcycle wheels isn’t just about appearance—it’s about preserving every critical mounting surface and ensuring they’re ready to bolt straight back onto the bike.

Our process included:

✔️ Chemically acid stripped
✔️ Carefully media blasted, with all bearing recesses, hub bores and critical mating faces protected throughout preparation
✔️ Cold coated in high-gloss white
✔️ Partial baked before allowing the wheels to cool naturally
✔️ Finished in a beautiful pearlescent lacquer for that subtle shimmer in the sunlight
✔️ Tyres professionally refitted and balanced

One thing we’re particularly proud of is the attention to detail that most people never see.

Rather than using masking tape during the powder coating process, we carefully clean and vacuum every bearing recess, hub bore, threaded hole and mating face throughout each stage. This leaves the surfaces completely free from powder build-up, eliminates hard paint edges and ensures every component fits exactly as the manufacturer intended.

It takes more time and care, but that’s the standard we set for every wheel that leaves WILBOWORX.

The end result is a factory-fresh finish that’s not only built to last, but engineered to fit perfectly.

Something a little different for this Mercedes C63 S AMG. 🔥

The owner had seen a set of wheels we refurbished a few years ago and wanted us to recreate that same finish.

After repairing the kerb damage with aluminium TIG welding, each wheel was fully prepared before being refinished in our signature shadow chrome centres, fading into gloss black barrels, then sealed with a durable high-gloss acrylic clear coat.

A subtle finish that completely transforms the look of the car. 👌
