By name and by nature, there is no doubt that the Ferrari 812 Superfast knows how to move. The 6.5-liter, naturally aspirated V12 engine puts out 798 bhp, propelling the Ferrari GT to over 200 mph and achieving a sub-3-second 0-60 time. This is all well and good for grabbing the headlines, but one little-known fact about the 812 is its weight distribution.
Understanding that the visibly longer GT body has a V12 engine in the front might naturally lead to the assumption that all of the weight is over the front, but in reality, it's a different story. Ferrari adopts a transaxle drivetrain, mounting the gearbox in the rear, spreading weight distribution to all four corners, allowing for an almost even 50/50 weight split.
As we shift into the smaller-engined, electric-assisted era of automotive, there is no doubt that the Maranello super GT is an all-star hall of famer.
