Another Marelli based ‘big build’ just about completed.

Bit of a twist on this one as I wanted to use the AIM TFT dash rather than the older Marelli MDU, so took some time to create custom CAN protocols so the Marelli ECU still thinks it is talking to a Marelli dash for bi-directional comms.

Yes it is a motorcycle, but not how they normally look.

Much easier to de-bug and test stuff when everything is accessible.

It even runs (under simulation). Lot less noisy.

Pierobon X80 Ducati , one of the more complex bench simulations.

Full custom made race loom with Ducati DTC, Microtec M197 and AIM MXS TFT dash

AIM MXS dashboard jobs:
- Input from a 'custom made' switch for DTC level, then export over CAN for the Ducati 1198 DTC system Up/Down
- Input from pressure and temperature sensors, then export over CAN to the Microtec M197 ECU
- Input from a Hyper 1100 left switch block via signal conditioning to control the dash pages
- Output from dash to control the rain light
- Capture and display of DTC response to slip
- Display of DTC level
- Capture of high speed CAN data from the ECU

ECU jobs - Microtec M197
- All the usual ECU stuff
- Integrate with Ducati 1198 DTC with control instruction from the AIM dash

All of this is 100% simulated on the test bench before it ever goes near a bike to ensure it just plugs in and works.

We are happy to report that our ABS delete devices KT147 are now back in stock after about a year out of production due to component supply problems.

Ducati 899, 959, 1199

Note to save people asking. There are no ABS delete devices available for the 2015 onward 1199R and 1299 Panigale and the V4 generation bikes as the ABS module forms an integral part of the torque control system.

Another 'special build' race/track wiring loom for a Ducati 999.

Designed for use with the standard ECU and dashboard but with a re-located ECU and all of the road functions removed to provide the bare minimum wiring loom.
