2012 BMW F10 M5 M Performance 4.4 litre (ONE OF 30!!) in for a oil change with a very interesting story behind it.

In 2012, BMW released 30 of these cars to the UK market which coincided with the London 2012 Olympic Games for which BMW was the official automotive sponsor.

To celebrate the Olympics Games BMW released 30 of these cars and split the colours evenly between the 30 cars to colours of the Union Jack 🇬🇧
🔴 10 in frozen red
⚪️ 10 in frozen white
🔵 10 in frozen blue

Each car featured a laser-etched “ONE OF 30” plaque on the piano black dashboard trim and came loaded with over £22,000 worth of optional equipment as standard. Ironically, while the public could buy these high-performance, 552bhp super-saloons, the official 4,000-vehicle fleet that BMW provided to ferry Olympic athletes and VIPs around London was kept strictly focused on eco-friendly, low-emission models like the 520d EfficientDynamics, hybrids, and EVs.

1986 Mercedes 300 SL & 1988 Austin Metro both in for some TLC.

2019 Peugeot Partner 1.5 Bluehdi loosing about 1 litre of coolant a day. On inspection water pump was leaking very badly and at 156,000 miles the timing belt was overdue so a new timing belt kit including water pump was fitted and the customer was on their way coolant leak free!

2020 Ford Transit Custom in for a heavy whirring noise, found massively corroded and warped front brake discs causing all the noise but the brake pedal felt okay.

2017 3.0 Porsche Macan in for a knocking noise when cornering identified to be a worn drive shaft, also had the brake pad warning light on due to worn pads.

Brake discs were also very worn and had been advised on the past three MOT tests so an all round discs and pads replacement was carried out using Apec brake discs, pads & sensors.

2017 1.2 Vauxhall Corsa in for a timing chain and oil pump, this car came in with very engine rattling and an oil pressure light along with engine warning light.

Upon inspection the oil pump had failed, engine had no oil pressure at all and the timing chain guides shattered leaving bits of plastic all around the engine.

Sump pan removed and cleaned out and new parts fitted and the customer was on their way within a couple of days.

2019 Peugeot 208 1.2 Puretech in for a full service using Comline filtration, NGK Spark Plugs & Forté Lubricants.

Did you know this engine takes a very specific oil to protect the ‘wet timing belt’ inside the engine? We always use the manufacturer specified oil on every service.
