WHY...?

BMW xDrive is a permanent all-wheel-drive system that constantly balances power between the front and rear axles.

For it to function correctly, all tyres must rotate at nearly the same speed.

If tyre rolling diameters differ too much, the transfer case is forced to compensate continuously — leading to premature wear or failure.

Risks of incorrect tyre fitment:

⚠️ Transfer case overheating or wear
⚠️ Drivetrain vibration or binding
⚠️ Increased fuel consumption
