Why are MOT advisories important?

Your car may have passed its annual MOT, but this doesn’t always mean it’s in perfect condition, especially if that report includes some advisories!

An MOT is the minimum standard for vehicle safety and road worthiness. Any advisories mean your vehicle is close to not meeting these standards.

Ignoring them can mean:
🔧 Increased repair costs – little issues now could turn into expensive problems later, including an inconvenient breakdown!
🛑 Safety issues – Worn brakes, tyres or suspension parts could impact the handling of your car, putting you, your family and other road users at risk.
📝 Impact insurance – If an accident occurs and a contributing factor is linked to an
unresolved advisory, your insurance claim and any payout could be affected.
❌ A failed MOT the following year.

At certain times, road closures will be in place, which will affect adjoining roads with the diverted traffic. Please allow extra time to get to us, especially if you have an MOT.
