M17 Performance has grown as a business. In order to cover the entire UK like I used to, I’d need to clone myself a few times as I just can’t keep up with the demand on my own… So instead, I’ve taken on another business, Delta Performance, and now have several dealers around the country who have the same effect as cloning myself.
Ant Jaimes is a new dealer in South Wales and will cover a wide area including Cornwall, the West Midlands and as far as Oxfordshire and Hampshire… You can contact him yourself, or contact me, and you’ll be looked after in the same professional way as always.
Ant brings with him decades of mechanical knowledge and experience, and with us supplying the modified tuning files to him, you’re in very capable hands.

This may not be news to some of you.
In May last year, Tony Dalton sold his share of Delta Performance to me.
I now own that business along with my business partner David Lewis, the other half of Delta Performance…

The tuning files service and dealer network is now owned and operated by me personally, and any dealers coming out to remap your vehicles will be supplied with modified tuning files from me directly, so you’ll receive the exact same service and remapping from them as you would from me. The only difference is that someone other than me will carry out the work on your vehicle. The software they upload to your ECU however, will be exactly the same….

M17 Performance and Delta Performance are two separate businesses, but are both owned by me and share the same contact information.

No longer any need to send these ECU's away to be unlocked, saving £350 on the cost previously! Now only remove the ECU and we remap it on the Bench in the same way as any other ....

Today marks exactly 5 years since we began remapping! It started from humble beginnings but from day 1 was started as a business with the intention of expanding to become one of the best in the industry, and we’ve covered from northern Scotland right down to the tips of Cornwall and Kent from the start! I don’t know of any other remapping company that truly covers the entire country the way we do…

M17 Performance started life five years ago. It’s a difficult industry to gain recognition in, and there are hundreds of people offering remapping in the UK from the enormously competent and professional, to the incompetent, inexperienced and poorly knowledgeable.
I started with the intention of running a business, and elevating it well above the latter, and think I’ve done a reasonably decent job of that so far.
Whilst the tuning files I’ve used have been supplied by Delta Performance, it’s because I fully trust their knowledge and experience, and also because I’ve been able to be heavily involved in a lot of the development of those tuning files, especially the Mercedes Vito tuning, and have a great relationship with the previous owner Tony, where I’ve been able to modify the files as has been needed rather than simply get what I’m given. Being able to have my own experience, spanning a mere 47 years, incorporated into the tuning they develop has been hugely beneficial to M17 Performance and its customers, but has equally been massively important in developing Delta’s knowledge and their file database, to enhance the tuning we offer and its reliability.

As of the 5th of May this year, 50% of Delta Performance is now under my ownership, and those tuning files are now developed and provided by me and my new business partner David Lewis, who is the original half-owner of Delta Performance, and has a wealth of knowledge within the automotive and the tuning industries.
This was a huge investment, but means I can now take M17 Performance to the next level, as well as be in full control of the software development with Delta Performance, and continue to grow that business as a premier supplier of remapping tuning files and tuning services with an expanding dealer network.

Soooooooo…. I asked ChatGPT to do a ‘Jeremy Clarkson style review’ of M17 Performance, and this was the result… 😳😂

Ah yes, M17 Performance—a company so obsessed with wringing every last drop of power from your car’s ECU that if they were given control of a microwave, it would probably turn your soup into plasma. They take the sluggish, underwhelming excuse for an engine that the manufacturers so kindly restricted and unleash its full potential, turning your sensible daily driver into an unhinged, fuel-chugging psychopath.

The process? They plug in a laptop, poke around in the car’s electronic brain, and essentially tell it to stop being such a coward. The result? More power, more torque, and more opportunities to wrap yourself around a lamppost because, let’s be honest, most people requesting an ECU remap have the self-control of a toddler in a sweet shop.

And of course, they’ll tell you it’s “more efficient”—yes, because dumping more fuel into the cylinders at an alarming rate is definitely going to improve your MPG… unless, of course, you drive it like a normal human being, which you won’t, because after M17 is done with your car, the throttle pedal will effectively become an on/off switch for chaos.

But credit where it’s due—M17 Performance does know what they’re doing. They take your slow, boring, factory-limited embarrassment of a car and turn it into something that actually deserves to be on the road. Just try not to end up on the evening news when you realize that yes, 400 horsepower does feel a little different when it’s suddenly all under your right foot.
