🚙👨👩👦👦Some of the best things about family road trips, for me!
1) Quality family time: road trips give us the time to bond, talk, joke around, and share experiences as we travel through these amazing places without the typical distractions of everyday life.
2) Freedom and flexibility: we usually have a vague plan of where we’re headed but we mostly build the trip as we go and include the kids in the decisions as much as we can. We move at our own pace and do what we want, when we want.
3) New experiences : new places, new foods, beers, cultures, wildlife… All of it, It feeds my soul!
4) Adventure: I love stumbling across new places that you wouldn’t normally ever go to if you where travelling any other way. Getting lost in a new place and discovering all of its hidden gems is the best!
5) The kids: seeing the kids learn and grow on these trips is one of the most rewarding things to see. They become curious and develop an appreciation for new places, people, food and cultures. They learn new skills and bond with each other over new experiences.
6) Simple pleasures: The pace slows down. We have more time to appreciate the smaller things. A simple stroll in the sun, daft games with the kids, mealtimes all together. Sometimes it’s the little things that matter most.
7) The memories: priceless! They’ll last a lifetime. 💫
