Massive congratulations to Wikanda, who passed her driving test at Bolton Test Centre today with just 4 minor faults!
Some test passes are special, but this one is in a league of its own. Wikanda has been on her driving journey since before the pandemic—going through 5 different instructors and facing the heartbreak of 8 failed tests over the years. Giving up would have been the easy option, but she showed unbelievable resilience, dust-off-your-boots determination, and absolute refusal to quit.
A massive shoutout to her instructor, Mike Harrison, based locally in Little Lever. When Wikanda came to Mike, it wasn't just about polishing manoeuvres—it was about rebuilding confidence from the ground up, stripping away bad habits, and giving her complete self-belief behind the wheel. Mike’s patient, client-centred approach transformed that test-day mindset, and today she delivered a calm, controlled drive to bring home the result with only 4 minors.
Throughout their sessions, Wikanda tackled Bolton’s most demanding road layouts—from tricky residential meeting situations and hill starts in Little Lever, to the fast-moving dual carriageways like St Peter’s Way (A666) and the complex multi-lane spiral roundabouts near the test centre.
Wikanda, you should be immensely proud of yourself. This is proof that perseverance always wins. Ditch those L-plates for good, enjoy every single mile of your hard-earned freedom, and safe driving always!

Massive congratulations to Mohamed, who passed his driving test on his very first attempt at West Didsbury Test Centre this morning with just 1 minor fault!
Manchester weather decided to put him through his paces, making test day the very first time he actually had to use the windscreen wipers in earnest! Dealing with heavy rain, reduced visibility, and wet road surfaces on your test is tricky enough, but Mohamed took it completely in stride and delivered a practically flawless drive.
A big shoutout to his instructor, Lindsay Webb, who coaches across Salford and South/North Manchester. Lindsay’s calm, client-centred approach ensures learners don't just learn fixed routes, but gain the real adaptability needed to handle whatever the conditions throw at them.
During his lessons, Mohamed built up sharp hazard perception and road awareness—handling everything from the busy commuter flows through Salford (M3, M5, M6, M7), to the narrow, parked-up residential streets, cyclist priority zones, and bustling multi-lane junctions around South Manchester and West Didsbury (M20).
A thoroughly well-deserved first-time pass, Mohamed. Throw those L-plates away, enjoy the open road (rain or shine!), and safe driving always!

There are whirlwinds, and then there is Denisa!
Huge congratulations to Denisa, who capped off Friday in style by smashing her driving test on her very first attempt at Bury Test Centre! The car might be a little quieter now, but the laughs will definitely be missed.
Denisa came to us on a recommendation from her best mate, who also passed with Lee recently—and in a funny twist of fate, they even ended up with the exact same examiner!
Test day threw up an extra challenge when another road user decided to pull alongside at a junction, shouting that she would never pass just because she rightly refused to pull out into an unsafe gap. Denisa didn't let the nonsense rattle her for a second. With full credit to the examiner for keeping things calm, she kept her focus, stuck to her training, made the safe call, and brought home a brilliant first-time pass. That is genuine composure under pressure.
A massive shoutout to her trainer, Lee, based locally in Radcliffe. Lee’s coaching is all about building real-world resilience and self-belief, ensuring pupils can handle whatever the roads (or other drivers) throw at them.
Throughout her lessons, Denisa mastered the full mix of local routes—from the tight residential streets and busy priority junctions across Radcliffe (M26), to the fast-moving traffic and multi-lane spiral roundabouts around Bury town centre and Peel Way (BL8, BL9).
You thoroughly earned that full licence, Denisa. Ditch the L-plates, enjoy every mile of your freedom, and stay safe on the roads!
So, who's next to ditch the L-plates?
