Just a quick update from Morris Green Auto’s Ltd.

We’ve had quite a few phone calls over the last couple of days from customers checking if we’re okay following the fire on Thursday evening.

We’d just like to reassure everyone that Morris Green Auto’s Ltd was not affected. The fire was at the neighbouring garage and we are fully open and operating as normal.

Abs and my daughter delivered all the donations yesterday just before the shelter closed, and we were blown away by the generosity and kindness from our customers, friends, and local community.

🐾 We’re Supporting Bolton Destitute Animal Shelter – Can You Help? 🐾

We’re proud to be collecting donations for Bolton Destitute Animal Shelter, and we’d love our customers and community to get involved.

The shelter is currently in need of the following items:

🐶 Dog food (especially Butcher’s Tripe Loaf)

🐱 Cat food

🐾 Kitten food – wet & dry

🪣 Cat litter

🍪 Grain-free dog biscuits & treats

🦴 Poo bags

🐕 Collars & harnesses

Donations can be dropped off at Morris Green Auto’s during our normal opening hours. Everything we collect will go directly to the shelter to help care for animals in need.

Let’s come together as a community and show some love to the dogs and cats who need it most 💙

Friday again – where did the week go?

It’s been another full-on one here at the garage. Plenty of services, MOTs flying through, and a fair few air con regasses — seems like everyone’s getting their cars summer-ready (and rightly so!).

We weren’t able to fit everyone in today for air con regasses, so we’ll be open tomorrow (Saturday) from 11am to catch up and get a few more jobs sorted.

Big thanks to everyone who’s been in and kept us busy — we really do appreciate the continued support.

If you need anything sorted next week, give us a shout early as the diary’s already starting to fill up.

Struggling with the heat? Your car's air con might need a regas!

With the heatwave in full swing, now’s the perfect time to make sure your air conditioning is doing its job properly. If your air con is blowing warm or not as cold as it used to be, chances are it’s due for a re-gas.

Here’s what we do during an air con regas:

✅ Recover old gas – We safely remove any remaining refrigerant in the system.
✅ Vacuum and pressure test – This checks for leaks or moisture in the system before refilling.
✅ Recharge with new gas – We refill with the correct refrigerant to manufacturer spec.
✅ Final performance check – We ensure it’s cooling as it should and blowing ice cold.

Important: If we detect a leak, we’ll let you know straight away. Regassing a leaking system isn’t just ineffective – it’s illegal. We'll always advise honestly before proceeding.

A cool car isn’t just about comfort – it helps with driver focus and safety, too.
