🚗 DFAUTOCARE | Diagnostic Call-Out – Ford Fiesta 🔧

We recently attended a call-out for a Ford Fiesta after the customer became concerned about the car over-revving and behaving unusually in 4th and 5th gear.

🔍 Here’s what we found:

After carrying out a full system scan and an engine inspection, everything initially appeared to be fine. However, once we began testing the clutch, things quickly became clearer.

As soon as the clutch pedal was pressed, an unusual noise was immediately noticeable, pointing towards a possible faulty clutch slave cylinder. After further testing the biting point, the symptoms also indicated that the clutch was slipping and likely worn out.

The customer mentioned, “Ignore the noise, it’s been like that for ages.”

⚠️ PLEASE DO NOT IGNORE UNUSUAL NOISES FROM YOUR VEHICLE!

A noise that seems minor or has been present for a long time can be a warning sign of an underlying problem. In this case, the symptoms suggest that the clutch slave cylinder issue may have contributed to the clutch burning out. Leaving problems unchecked can lead to further damage and potentially more expensive repairs.

✅ The customer has been advised to book the vehicle into a trusted garage for further investigation and repair, as clutch and slave cylinder replacement is not a service we currently offer.

At DFAUTOCARE, we believe in being honest with our customers, identifying potential issues and giving you the advice you need to make an informed decision.

📹 Dash Cam Re-Install

Today we carried out a dash cam re-install after the original wiring had simply been left dangling, with the cable sitting across the window and obstructing the driver’s view.

We removed the existing setup and re-installed it properly, routing and securing the wiring out of the way for a much cleaner and safer finish. ✅

It’s not just about having a dash cam fitted — the wiring needs to be tidy, secure and positioned correctly too.

🚗 Dash cam fitting & re-installations available as part of our wider mobile vehicle services.

📍 We come to you — home, work or wherever your vehicle is parked.
