🚗 Peugeot 208

🔧 Gearbox Fault,
Struggling to select gear and clutch felt high on the pedal. Customer supplied us with a second hand box and new clutch kit we got fitted up and working as should.

We also found the Flexi pipe was broke and causing a knocking noise along with a fumey smell in the cab.

New Flexi fitted and the car is now back on the road fault/problem free 💪

Car running lumpy with no power, left with us to have a look at we had some warning lights on the dash to indicate a blocked DPF filter.

🔥 Skoda Octavia vRS – Hybrid Turbo Build Complete 🔥

This Skoda Octavia vRS came to us half stripped after a mobile mechanic couldn’t get the job over the line 😬

When it arrived, parts were off, things loose, and the job unfinished. We stepped in, assessed everything properly and got it done the right way.

🔧 What We Carried Out:

✅ Hybrid turbo fitted
✅ Oil system checked and rectified
✅ DPF solutions
✅ EGR solutions
✅ Upgraded performance air filter
✅ Stage 2 custom remap

⚠️ Root Cause Found

On inspection, we found the turbo oil feed line was partially blocked.

This is a common but serious issue.

A restricted oil feed will:

Starve the turbo of lubrication

Cause overheating

Damage bearings

Lead to premature turbo failure

Simply fitting another turbo without addressing that would have resulted in the same failure again.

We replaced and ensured correct oil flow before installing the new hybrid unit — job done properly, not just patched up.

📈 The Result

The car is now running strong and should be around 260bhp, but we’ll be getting it on the dyno to confirm exact power and torque figures.

The office build is underway, painting is getting done, and the whole place is finally falling into place exactly how we envisioned it.

From where we started to where we’re heading, this is a massive step for us —

🚗 Renault Clio – Front Driver Side Spring Issue 🔧

This Clio came in with a front driver-side spring concern.
The customer was convinced the spring had snapped, as it was rubbing on the inner arch.

🔍 Initial inspection suggested it could have been snapped or twisted, causing contact with the arch — so the suspension was stripped down for a proper check.

🛠️ What We Found:
✔️ The spring itself was not broken
✔️ However, it was not the correct spring for the vehicle
✔️ The fitted spring was wider than standard, which is why it was rubbing on the inner arch

Because the spring wasn’t the correct size or specification, it was never going to sit correctly — even though it wasn’t damaged.

✅ Correct diagnosis = correct repair

This is a perfect example of why proper inspection matters.
Replacing parts without checking would’ve wasted time and money.

🚗 MG – Gears Not Selecting 🔧

This MG came into the workshop with gears not selecting properly, making it almost undriveable.

🔍 Initial inspection showed the linkage pin had snapped. Once stripped down, we found a previous bodged repair where someone had forced a nail into the linkage 😳 — which had failed and caused the issue.

🛠️ Our Fix:
✔️ Removed all broken nail fragments
✔️ Custom-made a new solid pin to the correct size
✔️ Installed correctly and tapered the ends to prevent it coming loose
✔️ Linkage adjusted and tested

⏱️ Back on the road within the hour
✔️ Gears selecting smoothly
✔️ Job done properly, not patched up
