Halsall's August 2026 planed Schedule & Last chance for SUMMER DISCOUNTS ON SOLID FUELS

Well, it's another challenging month as we try to dodge stoppages that are constantly being introduced with no notice, then being canceled without repairs being done, or extended whilst they take longer than anticipated. So its very difficult for us to make plans ourselves when CRT seem to be in chaos....... however...... we are going to once again attempt what used to be a routine little trip around the Four Counties Ring.

Our plan is as follows:-
Thurs 20th - Sat 22nd: Middlewich to Ellesmere Port via Barbridge Jn & Chester
Sun 23rd - Tues 25th: to Wheaton Aston via Chester, Nantwich, Audlem, Market Drayton & Norbury
Wed 26th - Sat 29th: to Stone via Brewood, Autherley Jn, Gailey, & Great Haywood
Sun 30th - Thurs 3rd: to Northwich area via Harecastle Tunnel, Cheshire Locks, Middlewich to Anderton including Oakwoods, Park Farm & Orchard marinas.

Once again its proved impossible to make our deliveries around the Four Counties Ring. With no notice or consultation CRT have now decided in the middle of Summer to carry out the repairs on the locks around Middlewich that they have known needing doing for years! They blame boaters for leaving paddles up, but know that many locks are simply not being maintained or repaired until the situation becomes untenable.

So Halsall is now heading up from Harecastle & back to Bollington for the crew to get a break, we regroup & try & find a way to continue operating in this increasing difficult & frustrating situation

Halsall's August 2026 planed Schedule & Last chance for SUMMET DISCOUNTS ON SOLID FUELS

Once again into the breach! Despite the difficulties presented by numerous stoppage (& crazy conflicting day by day stoppagenotices), CRT's inability to manage water resources & its very disappointing lack of communications...... we are going to once again attempt what used to be a routine little trip around the Four Counties Ring.

Our plan is as follows:-
Wed 29th - Fri 31st July: Middlewich to Ellesmere Port via Barbridge Jn & Chester
Sat 1st - Mon 3rd: to Wheaton Aston via Chester, Nantwich, Audlem, Market Drayton & Norbury
Tues 4th - Fri 7th: to Stone via Brewood, Autherley Jn, Gailey, Penkridge & Great Haywood
Sat 8th - Tue 11th: to Northwich area via Harecastle Tunnel, Cheshire Locks, Middlewich to Anderton including Oakwoods, Park Farm & Orchard marinas.

Here we sit at kidsgrove waiting to be allowed down the Cheshire flight to Wheelock, Middlewich, Oakwoods Marina, Wincham Wharf, Anderton Boat Lift then returning to Park Farm Marina and serving before heading off to Ellesmere Port before heading off around the Four Counties ring in the reverse direction to our usual route.

This month Halsall is out of action for a big round of maintenance at Bollington Wharf. Plans include engine room improvements, new gunnels, big clean up, paintwork...... it's a big list & we probably won't get it all done, but we're making progress. Big thanks to Alex, Aaron, Paul & Paul.

Halsall will be back to work on Saturday 18th initially heading back to the Northwich area. In tge meantime we'll be making some last road deliveries tomorrow 8th / Thursday 9th July, please text us on 07491 149149 if you need supplies
