Bit of a interesting job in. Vehicle recovered as a non starter, with a bit of stripping down the vehicle was found to have a snapped/ stripped teeth timing belt. Luckily it hadn’t damaged any of the valves, we knew this by testing cylinders for leakage, it had just smashed the rockers and bent the camshafts. Engine was rebuilt, including new camshafts and rockers as well as a new wet belt kit (all genuine parts ) fitted. Back up and running and returned to customer

Transit 2.0 with a wet belt engine came in for hard brake pedal, a very common problem, the wet belt design degrades and bits of rubber belt work its way into the vacuum pump, we caught this belt at just the right time before major engine failure.
