Back to work with a bang after another summer holiday with the family!

Once again thank you for all the orders while we were away. The online shop is a massive part of the business and helps me carry on working on the engines and carbs.

Back on the workshop side, a very good member of the Honda cb1100r club has sent over a tool to help us extract the studs on a set of CB1100r barrels. We were chatting a couple of weeks ago and he suggested that a tool he has might work and it's always fun to try something new.

Stay tuned to see how I get on!

We've hit the ground running after our first family holiday of the summer. Thank you to everyone who ordered while we were away and hopefully the majority of you have now got your orders.

On the workshop side, it's been a busy week of carb rebuilds. The pictures below. So what modern fuel is doing to carburettors. There was a leak from the fuel inlet brass hose as you can see the o-rings are a little past their best. And it didn't get any better inside the float bowls. These will get a full strip a dip in the ultrasonic cleaner and then we'll be reassembled with all new o-rings.

We also have some new items on the website which include pressing slow running jets. These are aftermarket items and have come from a very reliable source on the continent. These are up on the website and the link is below.

As another reminder, I will be at Oulton park on the 14th of August, I will be taking a few days off after the weekend to spend with the family as well.

Just a quick reminder that we will but shut for some R & R from Wednesday the 22nd of July

This Honda CB1100r is in for a variety of work including an upgraded starter clutch. You can see from this video that the bolts on the existing one had worked loose which it calls starting engagement issues. We have a modified Yamaha R6 starter clutch to fit, so this won't be an issue.

It's always worth checking these bolts and it's fairly easy to take the cover off. If you're careful you can save and reuse the gasket!

July is always a busy time for Leo in The Super Sport Shed with work and family commitments!

The Shed will be running limited hours over the next few days due to family commitments. We will aim to get orders out asap.

The Shed will be closed while Leo and the family are away. This will be from the 2nd of July, returning on the 3rd of August. Any orders and enquiries in this time will be dealt with on the 3rd.

We are also attending the Classic Bike Trackdays Oulton park event. so will also be away from the 13th of August for a week.

Thanks
Leo and the Team

We have lots of new products in our New Products section of the website and we continue to strive to add as many items as we can to help restore and keep these bikes on the road.

One new item that's added is a retro fit main fuse. This uses a modern midi fuse and the holder fits perfectly into the existing space. We are finding lots of bikes are coming into the workshop with broken spanner fuse holders or missing covers which could cause shorts. This is a great modification to rectify these problems.

Busy start to the month in The Super Sport Shed, lots to keep me busy alongside the online shop.

We have everything from an electrical issue to a full engine rebuild in these pictures. There are also bikes behind me in various stages of work.

As with every year, June and July are busy times for me in the workshop and at home with family commitments. With this our workshop books are now full until the end of August.

If you do need work on your CBX1000 please bear this in mind and contact me as soon as possible to discuss.

I am also seeing major supply issues with some parts, mainly coming direct from Japan. While I aim to get parcels out efficiently there may be some delays.

Thank you to everyone for their continued support!

I had a great weekend at Trac Mon on Anglesey, many thanks to Classic Bike Trackdays for another great event.

I managed to scrap the CBX1000 around the fairly tight track over both days and even got the privilege of riding Tim's sorted Suzuki XR69.
