This ECU data was collected from a Golf 7 R that we had on the dyno today
The car been tuned to 99 octane fuel
This is what happens when you put 95 octane in
99 octane has a higher knock resistance therefore you can run more ignition timing to make more power
What’s happening here is the ECU is detecting a whole lot of knocking ( engine crying ) and removing ignition timing to save it
Don’t ever put 95 in your performance vehicle unless it states you can or tuned for it
