DON'T GET RIPPED OFF! After being disappointed in several man and van services, its decided we can do alot better and provide a fair, competitive service.
Any business who puts thier interests above the customers is a business to avoid.
These are the tactics and tricks some moving and man and van services employ .
1 Arriving in a smaller vehicle than what was ordered so more trips have to be made. More time taken, the higher the costs to you.
2 Operative only carries one item at a time. This is a delay tactic. I'm talking one small bag or item. They should use wheeled trucks. They are being paid to assist in the move or transportation.
3 Van already half full with other items. This seriously impedes on your belongings being moved .. Youve ordered a van and that means a clean empty van.
4 Long way round to the delivery address. Driver purposily taking the long route and traveling on majour trunk roads during busy times to ensure the clock time builds up.
5 Final delivery completed costs being alot higher than previously agreed. Excuses such as traffic, not knowing extent of delivery being more voloum , added time due to loading delays.
6 Avoid the chat! Some operatives purposily get into a conversation with a householder making both the operative and householder stop loading/unloading. This in order to run the clock up. Time soon adds up with several delay tactics being employed.
7 Always get an agreed price before the assignment. This I highly recommend so any overtime issues is done to the opetative and not you. No further costs required.
8 Holding straps being affixed directly on moving items. Causing damage. Support padding should always be used on contact points.
9 If unhappy with the service you ordered. . Stop the works. You are well within your rights to cancel the job.
