JUST ARRIVED – 2005 Honda Civic Type R EP3 Premier Edition

A genuine Nighthawk Black Premier Edition with factory optional fog lights, showing 113,000 miles. It’s in fantastic condition, with a fully stamped service book, MOT until May 2027 and HPI clear history.

It’s running standard power and still has its original catalytic converter. The Ramair intake sounds fantastic when VTEC crosses over. Upgrades and recent work include:

- Yellow Speed adjustable coilovers
- Milltek 3-inch resonated cat-back exhaust
- Ramair intake
- Tegiwa rear anti-roll bar and drop links
- PBS front brake pads, braided brake lines and new rear calipers
- New rear camber arms, rear wheel bearing and front hub
- New top pulley, battery and PCV valve
- Refurbished rocker cover with a new gasket set
- New fuel-filler neck and fuel cap

A small section of the driver’s side rear inner sill pocket has been welded, with a receipt for the work. The four jacking points, boot floor, remaining inner sills and rear upper arches are solid. The rest of the chassis, including the arches, is very clean. The arch-liner carpets have previously been removed so those areas can be inspected.

Preparation planned before sale: a front bumper respray to address light paint cracks near the number plate, a full service using Millers oil, replacement track-rod ends followed by wheel alignment, and removal of a small ding in the boot. The VTEC cover is in the boot and will be refitted. We may also refurbish the wheels in silver and fit OEM centre caps, although the current finish presents well.

Honda Civic Type R FN2 L*D 74k — New Rear Axle / Full Respray / Partial Restoration

We have now started the partial restoration and comprehensive preparation of this low-mileage Milano Red FN2 Type R GT.

The following new parts have already been ordered to complete a thorough rear-end mechanical refresh:

• New Type R-specific rear axle from Euro Subframes — the correct replacement for the FN2 Type R, rather than a cheaper aftermarket alternative
• New rear axle bushes

2011 Honda Civic Type R FN2 GT L*D – 85k Miles – £7,995

Another lovely FN2 nearly ready for sale.

We’ve recently purchased this 2011 Honda Civic Type R FN2 GT L*D model, registration HJ11 ZNE, showing just 84,000 miles.

The car has now had a full respray and the alloy wheels will have been fully refurbished. Once finished, the car should present absolutely superbly and will be as close to immaculate as you would expect from a freshly painted example.

It comes with absolutely loads of service history and has been lady owned since 2016. It also drives extremely tight and feels like a very well cared-for car.

Once it returns from the bodyshop, we’ll be carrying out another full engine service, restoring the headlights and giving the car a full deep clean, as we do with all of our cars before sale.

BLACK PREMIER EDITION – UPDATE

This is a general update for the many customers who have already messaged us regarding the Black Premier Edition EP3.

We’ve travelled around 5 hours and 290 miles to inspect and collect the car, and after spending well over an hour going through it properly, we’ve found that it needs more preparation than initially expected.

The current owner was unaware of some of the issues, but as most people who follow FRZ Performance Cars know, we don’t just wash a car, service it and put it straight up for sale. We go through our Civics properly and address what needs doing.

The main issue we found is that the driver’s side sill is weak. The rest of the chassis presents very well, but we will be replacing the full inner sill properly using a Motion Motorsport repair kit

Other work we have already identified includes:

• Rocker cover gasket oil leak
• Rocker cover itself is worn/tired and will need attention
• Full engine service
• Rear brakes and calipers require attention
• Front brake pads required
• Exhaust has a blow which will be rectified
• Wheel alignment required
• Front bumper requires paintwork
• Mugen-style spoiler requires paintwork
• Various other smaller mechanical and cosmetic niggles to work through

So this has now become a proper little project for us — but then again, which EP3 isn’t at this age?

We initially expected fairly light preparation, but realistically we may end up spending around £2,000 or potentially more getting the car to the standard we’re happy to retail it at.

Because of that, we can’t confirm the final retail price just yet.

As with all of our Civics, our cars are not always the cheapest examples on the market, but the aim is to make sure they are right, properly prepared and that the important work has already been carried out before the next owner takes it away.

The car is currently on its way back to our premises and we’ll be posting updates throughout the preparation process.

There is also a battery warning light illuminated due to the aftermarket alternator fitted. The charging system has been checked with a multimeter and is charging correctly, so this does not affect the way the car drives or performs.
