**FORD FIESTA 1.6 DIESEL 🔧**

In the workshop recently we’ve had this 1.6 diesel Fiesta, new to our customer and with **no history of the timing belt ever being replaced**.

With no record of previous replacement, it was booked in with us for some important preventative maintenance 👌

Onto the strip down, the engine was correctly timed up and the necessary components removed to gain access.

Once removed, the timing belt was clearly a **genuine, well-worn item**, and looking at its condition we certainly believe it had been on the vehicle for some time — making the decision to replace it even more worthwhile.

We supplied and fitted a **complete new timing belt kit**, including:

🔧 Timing belt
🔧 Guides
🔧 Tensioner
🔧 New hardware
🔧 Water pump & gaskets

With the timing belt job complete, the vehicle then had a **full service**, including all oils, filters, fluid levels and general inspections.

During our checks we also found **excessive play in an inner rack end**, which was replaced while the vehicle was with us.

The cooling system was correctly bled, followed by a thorough road test and final checks before getting the Fiesta back to its owner 👍

Another vehicle caught before a potentially costly timing belt failure!

**AUDI Q5 MHEV 👀🔧**

In the workshop recently we had this Audi Q5 MHEV (Mild Hybrid Electric Vehicle) in with **no history of the timing belt ever being replaced**.

Our customer booked it in with us for a **full timing belt kit, water pump and complete service** — so it was straight onto the ramp for the big strip-down! 🔧

With the engine mounted longitudinally and the timing belt positioned at the front of the engine, the entire front end needed to be removed to gain proper access to the timing belt and water pump. As you can see from the pictures, there’s quite a bit involved to get to it! 👀

Once access was gained, the engine was timed and securely locked in position before removing the old belt, guides, tensioner and water pump.

**Clean-up time.** Extra care was taken around all the water pump sealing surfaces before fitting the new water pump, hardware and complete timing belt kit. Every component was torqued correctly to specification. 👌

The front end was then rebuilt, fresh coolant added and the engine given its first start. Running perfectly, we brought the vehicle up to temperature before dropping the oil and carrying out the **full service**, including all filters and fluid levels.

Service indicators reset, the coolant bleeding procedure completed using **VCDS**, and finally a thorough road test before handing the Q5 back to our customer. 👍

Another preventative maintenance job completed, giving our customer renewed confidence in their vehicle. 💪

🔥 **MILLTEK SPORT EXHAUST | AUDI RS3** 👀👌💪

In the workshop recently we’ve had this stunning **Audi RS3 Saloon** in with us for the installation of a **Milltek Sport big-bore downpipe**.

This certainly isn’t the easiest job, with very limited space around the downpipe making removal and installation a bit of a challenge!

On this particular RS3, various components needed to be removed, including the **subframe**, to give us the access and working room required to do the job properly.

Once removed, all gasket faces were thoroughly cleaned, along with the **V-band clamps**, which were cleaned and greased ready for installation.

The new Milltek downpipe was then fitted with **no modifications required** 👌

This is exactly why we supply and fit **Milltek Sport** systems. The fitment is spot on, they install like OEM components, and the quality is superb. 💪

**AUDI SQ5**

In the workshop recently, we had this V6 Bi-Turbo SQ5 in with a **major oil leak and oil consumption issue**.

With oil spread across various areas of the engine bay and underneath both sides of the engine, the first job was a thorough clean-up and investigation to identify exactly where the oil was coming from.

After discussing our findings with our customer, along with the additional components we recommended replacing while carrying out the repair, the SQ5 was onto the ramp and ready for a **big strip-down**. 👀

The main issues were found **inside the V of the engine**, around the oil cooler and surrounding block gaskets.

Access required the removal of a large number of components, including:

🔧 Inlet manifold
🔧 EGR systems
🔧 Coolant pipes & coolers
🔧 Injectors
🔧 Rocker covers
🔧 Various associated pipework and hardware

Once fully stripped down, another big clean-up operation began. Numerous components were removed, stripped and put through our parts washer to ensure everything was thoroughly cleaned before reassembly.

We then worked through the relevant **genuine Audi parts schematics** to identify, locate and order all the individual gaskets, components and hardware required to complete the repair correctly.

This particular engine also has its **Positive Crankcase Ventilation (PCV) system integrated directly into the plastic rocker covers**. With this in mind, both rocker covers were replaced with brand-new genuine units.

With all the parts finally in, it was time to start putting this big V6 back together. 🔧

Everything was rebuilt in the correct order using new gaskets, plastic and rubber pipes, replacement clips, injector seals, bolts and all the other required hardware.

The final stages included fresh engine oil, a new oil filter and coolant before the first start-up and heat cycle.

The engine was then thoroughly checked to make sure **all systems were operating correctly and the original oil leaks had been completely eliminated**.

Happy with the results, an extended road test was carried out before one final inspection and the remaining covers were refitted.

Another big job completed and another Audi back on the road. 👌

**NISSAN 350Z 🏁🇯🇵**

In the workshop with us recently, we’ve had this V6 J*p beast in for some attention 👀👌

Suffering from a whining rear end, as well as being booked in for one of our services.

After some investigation and a chat with our customer, it was decided to replace **both rear wheel bearings** at the same time.

Various components needed to be removed to gain access to the front and rear of the hubs, allowing us to remove the old wheel bearings.

Once the bearing/hub assemblies were removed from the vehicle, it was over to our **bearing press** to separate the two. Thankfully, we have a large bearing press in the workshop, as one of these units certainly put up a fight and took a serious amount of force to separate! 💪

With everything apart, all surfaces were thoroughly cleaned before the new bearings were pressed onto the hubs. The hub and bearing assemblies were then refitted to the vehicle, with the rear end built back up and all components torqued correctly to specification.

Happy with the wheel bearings, the 350Z then went through one of our **Interim Services** before being road tested.

And we’ve got to say… **these 350Zs really do sound amazing! 👌🔥**

Another job completed and another happy customer back on the road 👍

**VOLKSWAGEN TIGUAN 4MOTION R-LINE**

In the workshop recently, we had this very clean 4MOTION Tiguan R-Line in with us for some important preventative maintenance. 👌

The timing belt is a vital part of any vehicle’s service schedule, and failure can result in significant engine damage and an expensive repair bill.

Our customer opted for a **full Genuine Volkswagen timing belt and water pump package**, which we supplied and fitted.

Being a 2022 model, there are a few more components that need to be removed to gain access to the timing belt and water pump, with many of these being emissions-related components.

Once everything was stripped down, the engine was correctly timed and all components were prepared for installation. The water pump sealing surfaces were thoroughly cleaned before fitting all the new Genuine Volkswagen parts, including:

🔧 Timing belt
🔧 Timing belt guides
🔧 Water pump with sensor
🔧 Tensioner
🔧 Relevant hardware
🔧 New stretch bolts

With everything built back up, it was time for fresh coolant, as included with all of our timing belt & water pump packages.

The correct bleeding procedure was then carried out using specialist diagnostic equipment, which is required on these modern vehicles to ensure the cooling system is properly bled.

Once we were happy with everything, the vehicle was taken for a thorough road test to confirm all was operating as it should, followed by a final check of all fluid levels.

Another job completed properly, with the right parts and the correct procedures. 👌👍

# AUDI S4 🔥

**MODIFICATIONS & CUSTOM TUNING!**

In the workshop recently for our **Milltek Sport exhaust & custom tuning package** 📦👌

There are plenty of options available from Milltek Sport for this platform, with our customer opting for a **full cat-back, non-resonated system**, complete with **valved back boxes and chrome polished tips** 👀👌

To make the most of the improved airflow from the new Milltek system, we carried out a **full custom ECU calibration on the dyno**, with some fantastic results!

**STOCK:**
349 BHP & 369 FT/LBS

**MODIFICATIONS & CUSTOM CALIBRATION:**
🔥 **412 BHP & 461 FT/LBS**

That's an increase of **63 BHP & 92 FT/LBS of torque!** 👌

Fantastic results, especially while dealing with the recent hot weather.

The test drive was certainly an exciting one, with the **V6 sound coming through the new exhaust system** and the additional power and torque giving the S4 fantastic driveability throughout the entire rev range.

**VOLKSWAGEN GOLF TDI 🚗💨**

In the workshop recently, we had this 2.0 TDI Golf come in after a long journey with a **slipping and noisy clutch**.

Luckily, the customer managed to get it to us before total failure. Straight onto the ramp and the strip-down began 🔧.

Once removed, we found the bell housing full of clutch material and dust, so a good clean-up was required before fitting the new components.

With everything cleaned up, it was time to fit a **new dual-mass flywheel, new bolts/hardware, clutch and concentric slave cylinder** 👍. Everything fitted and torqued correctly to specification.

This particular vehicle is also fitted with a **self-adjusting clutch**, which requires an additional fitment procedure to ensure everything is set up correctly.

Once rebuilt, fresh clutch fluid was added and the clutch system bled through before carrying out our final checks.

A final road test confirmed everything was working as it should before handing the Golf back to its owner, ready to continue the miles 👌.

🔧 **SKODA FABIA VRS – MECHATRONICS REPLACEMENT** 🔧

In the workshop recently we had this **Skoda Fabia 1.4 TSI VRS** in with a rather interesting gearbox issue.

The customer was experiencing a **flashing gear indicator, various mechatronics faults and the issue gradually getting worse over time.**

After carrying out a full diagnostic session and identifying the fault, it was time to look at the repair options available.

After a chat with our customer, the decision was made to fit a **brand-new genuine mechatronics unit**.

This is not a straightforward job, with specialist tools required for various components throughout both the strip-down and rebuild. 👀

We got to work by draining the gearbox oil and stripping down the required components to gain as much access as possible to the mechatronics unit.

With the gearbox correctly positioned, specific tools were fitted to keep both clutch sets securely in position before the old unit could be removed.

Next came a thorough clean-up of all sealing surfaces and components before the new unit was installed.

With all the gear actuators not set in any particular position, the **vernier calipers came out** to measure and correctly set each actuator down to the **millimetre**. 📏

Once everything had been double-checked and the new seals were in place, the new mechatronics unit was carefully fitted into position.

All bolts were then installed using the **specific torque settings required**, particularly for the aluminium bolts. 🔩

With everything reassembled, new gearbox oil was added. The mechatronics unit itself uses a separate oil, which is supplied and filled from the factory.

Then it was time to get the laptop out! 💻

The new unit required the correct **coding and adaptation process**, including adaptations for both the mechatronics unit and clutches.

And the process doesn't stop once it's off the ramp…

A further adaptation procedure was carried out **on the road**, followed by a thorough road test to make sure everything was operating exactly as it should. 🚗💨

✅ All happy with the gearbox operation
✅ Road test completed
✅ Full service carried out
✅ MOT completed

Another job completed and another vehicle returned to its owner ready to go! 👍

🚗 **MERCEDES-BENZ CLE 53 AMG** 👀👌

Straight from the **Mercedes-Benz** forecourt and into our workshop for its **very first modification**... with **less than 200 miles on the clock!** 🔥

This stunning CLE 53 AMG was booked in with us for the installation of a **remote exhaust valve control system**, allowing the driver to open or close the exhaust valves at the touch of a button for the perfect soundtrack whenever they choose. 🎵

To ensure a factory-quality installation, we stripped down the boot compartment to discreetly hide the main control module before routing all wiring underneath the vehicle. Both rear underbody panels were then removed, allowing us to neatly run the wiring behind the exhaust heat shields and connect it to each exhaust valve actuator.

With everything installed, we carried out full operational testing and final checks before refitting all panels and covers, leaving the vehicle looking exactly as it arrived—but sounding even better! 😎
