What is carbon cleaning?

Carbon cleaning is a process of removing soot, or carbon, from your engine. These deposits, made of unburnt hydrocarbons end up clogging your engine as well as other parts such as the EGR valve, Particulate Filter or even the turbocharger.

Then some of you may be thinking if carbon cleaning is good for your car?

There are no proven harms of getting your engine carbon cleaned especially if you go with a trusted company like Lancashire Carbon Clean.Carbon cleaning undoubtedly has a lot of benefits for older cars that have lost their performance and have a decreased fuel efficiency.However this doesnt mean that newer cars arent applicable.Any vehicle which has done in excess of 70,000 miles on the clock is worth having done.The process can be done to a petrol or diesel engine. A carbon clean on a Skoda Octavia DSG 1.6 diesel today.Done 220K on the clock so hopefully helps clear carbon within the engine and gives it a smoother and more responsive drive

A VW Passat 1.9tdi,done 140k on the clock was lacking power.Apologies to the owner of the car behind,will probably be covered in soot.Have to admit,it threw a load of soot out.Hopefully resolves the issue of lack of power
