So things are about to get interesting at Birmingham Wheels.

First off, a massive "Thank you" to everyone who sent in an objection to the City Council's planning application on the site.

A massive 580 written objections landed on the desk of the Planning Officer.

This is unprecedented ...
.. and completely annihilates the false narrative that the our sports are somehow not needed, important or popular.

Equally, Sport England are backing us - and their objection really matters.

Based on all this, the council have watered down their application, which now is solely to remove the knotweed on the site.

Likewise, within the planning officer's report on the application, there are now several mentions of the protected nature of the sports and stadiums at Birmingham Wheels (after the Government Inspector's report) ...

This is down to the 100s of objections, and is big news ... the first time Birmingham City Council have acknowledged this.

So the planning application goes before the planning committee on Thursday ... Dave is speaking on our behalf, and this is where you come in.

If you care about Birmingham Wheels, if you believe that elected officials should behave within their own constitution, then please click on to the live feed from the Planning meeting on Thursday.

They usually get 7 (or on a good day 😎 people bothering to watch - if we can get 500, they'll they'll get another clear message that:

And we expect them to do the right (and legal) thing.

The meeting starts at 11 on Thursday, we'll be up anytime from 12noon, please be there standing by us as we stand up for Birmingham Wheels Park.
