Birmingham Carburettors We refurbish SU carburettors, mainly from British Classics including MG, Triumph and Classic Mini. They are vapour blasted by another local small business.

We refurbish SU carburettors, mainly from British Classics including MG, Triumph, Jaguar and Classic Mini. We offer an exchange service or we can work on your own carburettors. We strip clean and inspect each carburettor before starting work on the renovation. After the vapour blasting they are then cleaned again in an Ultrasonic cleaner and then all air and fuel passages are checked before starti

ng re assembly. The links, levers and linkages are re plated to either clear or yellow passivated finish, again using another small local business that specialises in this area. Each carburettor is then rebuilt with a genuine SU Rebuild Kit to ensure compatability of parts

The dashpot domes are polished to a high sheen that is easy to keep clean. Once assembled they are again checked for free movement and the jets set at the SU recommended setting. The only thing you need to do is fill the dashpots with oil, assemble on the car and finalise the settings to suit your individual car. Interested? just give us a shout.

Merry Christmas to all our customers past, present and future.🎄🎅

This is the last set finished for the year and delivered on Christmas Eve to a happy repeat customer. These are from a 1950’s Riley RMB but we are happy to work on any SU carbs from the twenties until they gradually faded away in the 80/90’s as well as most Stromberg models.
