Automatic Driving Lessons – Birmingham
Terms & Conditions
Please read these terms carefully. By booking or attending a lesson, you agree to the following:
1. Lesson Prices
• 1.5-hour lesson: £55
• 2-hour lesson: £70
• Please ask your instructor about current block-booking offers and prices.
• Prices may change for future bookings.
2. Lesson Times
• Your lesson starts at the agreed booking time.
• If the instructor is late due to circumstances within their control, the missed time will normally be added to the end of the lesson.
• If the learner is late, the lesson will normally still finish at the agreed time, so less driving time may be provided.
• Delays caused by traffic, road closures, emergencies or other circumstances outside the instructor’s control will be discussed with you.
3. Cancellations
• At least 24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or rearrange a lesson.
• Less than 24 hours’ notice or failure to attend may result in the full lesson fee being charged.
• Genuine emergencies may be considered at the instructor’s discretion.
4. Breaks Between Lessons
• If you stop taking lessons for more than 4 weeks, your regular lesson slot may be offered to another learner.
• After a break of more than 4 weeks, we cannot guarantee that your previous day or time will still be available.
5. Payment
• Bank-transfer payments must be made in advance.
• Cash payments must be made immediately after the lesson.
• Block bookings must be paid for before the lessons are used.
• Any outstanding balance must be paid before further lessons are provided.
6. Driving Test Readiness
• Your instructor will assess your progress and advise you when you are ready for your practical test.
• If you are not at a safe and consistent test standard, your instructor may advise you not to take the test.
• The instructor may refuse to provide the vehicle if they reasonably believe you are not test-ready.
• Passing the test is not guaranteed.
7. Driving Test Times
• Normal lesson availability is Monday to Friday, 9:30am to 8:30pm.
• If your test is before 9:30am, you must check availability with your instructor before booking.
• Test-day vehicle availability is not guaranteed until confirmed by your instructor.
8. Test-Day Fee
• The standard test-day fee is £130, including 1 hour of driving before the test.
• The £130 fee must be paid in advance.
• If the test is cancelled after you have attended the test centre, the full £130 fee will be charged.
• If the examiner cancels the test because the instructor’s vehicle is not test standard, Rasel School of Motoring will cover the test booking fee for your next practical driving test.
• You must arrive on time and bring all required documents.
9. Learner Responsibilities
• You must hold a valid provisional driving licence and meet all legal requirements.
• You must follow your instructor’s safety instructions.
• A lesson may be stopped if you are unfit to drive due to alcohol, drugs, illness, tiredness or unsafe behaviour.
10. Instructor Changes
• We will try to provide your regular instructor whenever possible.
• Lessons may occasionally need to be cancelled or rearranged due to illness, holidays, vehicle problems or other unforeseen circumstances.
• Where possible, we will provide notice and offer an alternative time.
11. Progress
• Every learner progresses at a different pace.
• The number of lessons required varies from person to person.
• Your instructor will advise you based on your individual progress.
12. Respectful Behaviour
• Lessons should be conducted in a professional and respectful manner.
• Abusive, threatening, discriminatory or inappropriate behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in lessons being terminated.
13. Complaints
If you have any concerns, please contact Rasel School of Motoring as soon as possible. We will try to resolve genuine concerns fairly and reasonably.
14. Agreement
By booking or attending a lesson, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to these terms and conditions.
